I feel very fortunate and lucky. By the time I started proper work my parents had paid off the mortgage off and I was not asked to contribute while I was working and saving to try to go to uni and afterwards when I was only earning a small amount doing an apprenticeship.
After I got a real job...
So many good varied selections on this thread. I’ve realised since moving out of my parents with my partner I have eaten much less toast and less toast meals, we
might need a new thread about the correct colour of toast as well! my diet is probably much better now! Beans on toast is banned here...
I know it isn’t really advertised but having the option of a build service for exactly what you want is very useful from OcUK. Especially for some of us who want a computer to call custom with our own specs but I am much more of a user these days than a builder. Especially with the testing and...
In our house it was no TV in the mornings, maybe a bit at weekends but certainly not before school. We only had one TV in the house until I was in senior school and it was very much a go into the front room in the evening for a bit. I think my favourite show was probably Danger Mouse but I...
This is some exciting news. I think in the past Hamilton had said that he had did want to drive for Ferrari but I never thought that it would happen. Is he the first British Ferrari F1 driver since Nigel Mansell?
I hope that 2024 will not be spoiled with him getting less preference and priority...
I survived my trips the week before last with no problems as I am sure many millions of other people have. Anyway Ryanair don not seem to operate the 737 Max but a 737 8200  There was no mention of the Max part anywhere.
From a passenger point of view it was exactly the same but...
The airline that had this issue today has returned some of the grounded jets to the air already.

Hopefully this because they have checked everything and are happy that they are safe and hopefully other airlines will be checking properly as...
This is the game I have been looking for as a reason to change back to PC for my PS4. I really enjoyed CS1 on the PlayStation but have been watching videos with various mods from people playing on PC and getting very jealous! Some of the YouTubers have a real talent for decoration and creating...
I don’t know but it does seem to be the usual thing that some artists do not get uploaded to listen back to at all, I was hoping to see the Hives. My wife wants to listen to Lana del Rey as well, what I caught last night was good before she was cut off. Maybe the other stage Saturday stream is...
Krakow is a really good city for a break. It is easy to get to from the airport with the train, there is plenty to walk around and see in the city itself and a big selection of restaurants and places to eat.
I have never been to Auschwitz in about 6 trips through or to Krakow for a few days...
Even going back to Medieval 2 they always had the nice introduction and trailer videos.
This game won’t be for me as my old MacBook only just runs Medieval 2, I’d need a title that peaked my interest to buy an up to date computer! I still have a blast playing it now and again.
Play Ja Ja Ding Dong!
Sweden has been hyped up as the favorite but I didn’t like the song. I quite enjoyed Finland and Belgium who might do as well but also Moldova and Czechia who may not. Seems to be the only new music I listen to all year which is embarrassing! Maybe tonight the ones I like...
That sounds like my town. There is news in the local paper and it is shocking and big bad things but when you actually read through it might be someone who once lived here or visited on a day trip. Totally tedious links.
The main story recently been the hospital trust having an appalling...
I used to enjoy having a bit of a day trip out to come an actually pick up the computer stuff I wanted. I admit though it was a long time ago now and desktop computers are in my past at least for now - I have not been since OcUK was at the Imex unit.
I always remember walking down the covered...
I think as our family computer we had something very similar only the out the factory door aga-tech version. I remember the 13” screen the most mainly because when my own screen broke later I was trying to use it and it wouldn’t go above 800x600! I thought we would have had it in 1993-4? I...
