    Cities Skylines 2 is Official!

Unfortunately it isn't the patch which makes the game fun, here's another fire engine that arrived just in time before any major destruction was done..

Did I choose the worst tiler in the world? scratched tiles

How is Barkeepers Friend best used? Sprinkle some onto a damp cloth? Topps weren't interested in looking at this from the start, it took several days before they even asked for the batch number. They've ignored that I found one tile scratched which hadn't been touched by anyone - I cleaned it...

Did I choose the worst tiler in the world? scratched tiles

Yeah from what I can tell there aren't many scratches that line up - some definitely do. But the scratches are all over the place, every direction. Most tiles around the hob are the worst, there is the odd tile which is perfect in amongst all those so does this point to an issue with the tile...

Did I choose the worst tiler in the world? scratched tiles

I didn't pay any attention to the state of his tools, I've got no idea what is what for tiling so it was all left to the professional, or so I thought!! Going to have a close look over the spare tiles again, and I left a few alone to try and rub the wax off with some force, to see if that was...

Did I choose the worst tiler in the world? scratched tiles

Thought I'd found a reputable tiler, locally based and has photos of his work, 30 years experience. This was after arranging 4 quotes, having 2 arrive and 1 giving a price. After he'd grouted, he noticed loads of scratches on the tiles and said they must have been in the tile before he started...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Started yesterday with installing a double waste (washer and dryer) on a standpipe. Had to abandon the dryer part as I'd lost the additional hose (i thought you re-routed the current hose) Searched around yesterday, couldn't find it. Couldn't even think where it may be and the dryer is probably...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Finally.....after 18 months this wardrobe is almost completed. In this time I did have twins then my wife died....you know, just standard stuff... Before During After I did get a structural engineer to look at removing some of the uprights, but it involved too much work and was outside the...

    Cities Skylines 2 is Official!

Game is absolutely playable for now, spec in sig and resolution 3440x1440. GPU is running hot at around 80% utilisation and CPU is around 20%. Done the recommended tweaks, disable dof etc. I do miss holding the right mouse button to pan the camera around, hopefully there is a mod soon. Where can...

Is the screen flashing problem with windows HDR enabled? Mine wasn't switched on, but ever since I switched it on the screen started flashing every now and again.

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Fixed a Tapo camera to the ceiling in the garage (after it was vibrated off the drill press yesterday) Dry fit of a home made sliding door to get the perspex size which is now ordered (used floating tenons on the mitres, i'm amazed everything lines up) Cut a rebate into x12 pieces of the sliding...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Tortured myself once again by skimming a tiny wall in the upstairs of my dormer. Really don't know why i keep putting myself through plastering as I absolutely detest it.. Probably because I'm cheap :D

What "man jobs" have you done today?

It was planned, I'd made a 3.6m long version of this at my old house and used sketchup to design that. But when you start making it, just tweak it as needed, i used a screwhead as the spacing for the seat boards etc. Still managed to cut the angles wrong on the uprights, I got carried away :D

    Kitchen design help

Got an extractor fan on that window wall i missed off, it could maybe get moved further up and to the corner, depends on the lintel. The guys who fitted it fit kitchens, so i presume the lintel gets in the way. That's where the fridge freezer is going. Yep! but the dining table is through the...
