Interesting. Ars magica is one from the extra mod pack, so try redownloading the extra mods from the linktart website again & recopying them to the Ultimate folder. Might have been a corrupted download/unzipping issue.

The standard FTB jar should work on Macs, though you'll still need to add the additional mods. It appears there's occasionally a few errors & fixes needed, but give it a go & google/post any errors here to see if there's a fix. http://feed-the-beast.com/#download_wrapper...

Second crash is caused by using the Ars Magica spell 'Dig', on a Dimensional anchor. Tested on a local server and it produced the same result/crash log. Just a one off it seems, though probably best not duplicate :p

Absolutely Nutty, it's unlikely to be the cause of constant lag/crashes. It does explain that specific "lag session" was caused by the world generating, rather than another issue, however.

Bit late to the party but I have a feeling the lag may have been caused by someone travelling ~10k blocks in the mining world, causing the world to generate, which puts fairly heavy load on the server. Hence the Forestry spam too, as new land generates new apatite veins. Take a look at the...

You'll be looking for a 1.7.3 jar, sadly that's not available from the Mojang website (as far as I can find). Distributing the jar isn't really allowed, but a quick Google should produce a working one.

You should also be able to just replace the minecraft.jar with the 1.4.2 minecraft.jar, from the Minecraft server itself : http://assets.minecraft.net/1_4_2/minecraft.jar. :)

Tried this? The minecraft folder should be located at "~/Library/Application Support/minecraft" according to the wiki.
