What does AfterBurner do exactly, and what exactly should I be looking for, and how long should I leave it running to determine if their is a problem I should be concerned about.

How do you mean sufficient airflow? I am not sure how to test the cards temps, and I don't know what are acceptable temperatures. It's sitting around 28c and can go up into the low 50's in game in OC mode.

Yea :) It has sentimental value to me as my father purchased it for me to upgrade from my 8800 which broke, and my father died in 2010 so I never felt like upgrading/replacing it.
