My advice would be to build your own.
Ready Nas's and similar are rubbish if your using it for media as your going to be transferring and streaming large files. Obviously if you go for an expensive unit such as a synology or qnap the speed goes up to around 60-70mb I believe which is better...
Also worth noting you have gone for a 3770 rather than the 3770K.
The difference here is non K versions do not allow multiplier overclocking.
If your only gaming then go for the 3570K and use the money you have saved for a decent cooler and push that CPU to 4.4-4.8Ghz. This will give...
Here is what it says on the gigabyte site:
* Due to certain mobile phone limitations, users may need to connect the mobile phone to their PC before the PC enters S4/S5 mode to enable a quick charge from non ON/OFF Charge USB ports.
Charging results may vary by model.
So if the board doesn't...
Yeah same board but with Wifi and BT 4.0 module included.
Also here is the fan header and internal connection info:
1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector
1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector
1 x PCIe power connector
5 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors
1 x mSATA connector

Why not hold fire for a couple of month til you have a better idea what Ivy Bridge will do.
If this build is going to last you 3 years then surely its better to get the latest tech.
Ivy Bridge will be the same kind of ball park cost as sandy bridge currently is.
Ivy Bridge will have USB3 as...
Saw this and thought I would share.

its an intel chipset issue I believe and has been common since 1156, just search google for MSI cold boot, asus cold boot, gigabyte cold boot.....everyone has it.
Hi all,
Been a while since I installed my intel 160GB X-25M.
I have a Kingston HyperX 240GB sat on my desk and thought I should really put it in something.
But what's the general opinions out there now on MS vs Intel ACHI drivers?
Thanks
also look at the magicool stuff. I choose that over blackice as blackice need high pressure fans compared to the magicool.
Here is the spec of the 240mm.
Dimensions (LxWxH): 323x146x29mm
I have a 240mm in my TJ07 at the top of the case which cools my EVGA X58 Class full chipset and its been...
Ok after building myself a decent little freenas box and seeing it outperforms anything you can buy I want to play with making my own router.
I want it too also deal with the wireless.
Can anyone give me some advice on hardware but more importantly which software. I cant find a good place...

This is the guy that has leaked the info and is currently playing with new bioses and drivers.
Right put your settings back to IDE and put the original drive back in, I take it this still has an OS on it. Also put the new drive in.
Boot into windows then go run and put diskmgmt.msc then press enter.
look for your new drive, if its not there at all then it may be faulty.
can you go into device manager and check to see if its there but not installed first.
right click computer and go properties, then click device manager.
Your looking for a yellow triangle warning.
If there isn't one then go to network adapters and tell us what is in there.
As stulid says all the comparisons on features are there, also UD5 has 20 power phases, UD3P has 14 and UD3 has 7 in total minus your phases for memory ect.
More power phases are important for overclocking as it allows better efficiency and clean stable power.
For those with Gigabyte board try this beta cpu-z it fixes most boards that dont work with 1.58 cpu-z.

error 101 on that BSOD usually indicates you need more vcore.
But as someone else mentioned you may want to look at the load line options on your board too, as if it droops then that could also cause the same issue.
Memory wise i would set at its rating voltage until you start going above...
