All sorted now. :D
Thanks to the guys at OcUK (I was the one who rang up a couple of times asking about Win 7 Ultimate x64 shipments) I was able to get ahold of an OEM Windows 7 Ultimate x64 to go with my order, and get it amended to have Saturday delivery. Bloke turned up this morning with...
Well, I'd like to comment on how great Windows 7 is, but I can't.
My order is still:
:(
I guess it has something to do with x64 Ultimate Retail running out of stock. The day after I ordered it went from being in stock to pre-order.
I'd buy a £10k PC if I won the lottery.
Asus P6T7 WS Super Computer = £400 inc VAT (guess)
Intel Core i7 975 3.33Ghz = £801.99 inc VAT
3x 2GB OCZ Blade Series = £359.98 inc VAT
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 = £175.00 inc VAT
3x EVGA GeForce GTX 285 Watercooled = £1655.97 inc VAT...
I spent a fair bit of money on my two cards already, and while this is a single card solution with the same power, I don't think it is worth it with the new cards coming at the end of the year.
I'm still too much of a wuss for watercooling. I'd only do it if I won the lottery, and could always just same-day-courier new stuff in when it dies a horrible death.
I have a 37 inch 1080p tv for my main display, and I like it for the size. A 1920x1200 screen is better when it comes to compatability - some games don't like, or simply won't run 1080p.
It's enough for some games, but not that great. Ignore the 'GT' part of the name, it's just marketing BS.
How much money do you have to spend, what games do you play, and at what resolution (screen).
