Hi all, so i just sent in my unit for ANOTHER firmware fix as it didnt support 16:9 for consoles, and AGAIN my unit has come back with a new fault / damage, this time i have these new stuck pixels in my screen...
DO NOT buy this screen as the after sales support is so bad, if you have issues...
Hey guys
thought I’d add, I’ve spoken with Iiyama and there is a fault where the monitor doesn’t allow the Xbox Series X to use 1440p resolution, only 1080p, so when you try to set the image display mode it won’t display correctly.
I know this isn’t the common use case for most of you but it’s...
hey guys sorry to post a question again, but does anyone know if the screen can run at 16:9 if needed? As mentioned its not playing nice with the xbox as it only offers a stretch mode or some very weird other layouts
hey guys, just got an xbox series x today and tried it with the monitor. I was expecting to be able to letter box the sides and play in 16:9, but it seems all the piture modes dont accommodate this? There are 3 modes and none of them just chop the sides down to 16:9, the best i can get is a...
Has anyone used this screen on a mac? it seems i get different colour display when using the monitor on my 16 inch macbook for work, its so washed out and milky next to my old screen, but then it looks ok in windows on my desktop, so the monitor settings arent consistent across both OS, wondered...
id also like to add that I cant see any flickering on this latest unit, upgraded firmware shipped directly from iiyama, tried 144hz settings and freesync on, on a couple of games (though i dont hit over 80 FPS on my 980ti) using cables the screen came with
Hey guys just got my replacement screen finally and all is good!, what sort of colour menu settings do you have on these screens? Im running mine next to my old dell VA 144hz screen and the colours are so washed out, assume its my error. I just have HDR turned on rather than any manual config...
Thought id post another update on my issues with their support and my broken screen. The rep from this thread reached out to me and elevated the case, which was swiftly resolved in 1 day by actual Iiyama staff sending me out a new unit (its yet to arrive but ill report back if any further...
Hey guys
I have a DP 1.4 monitor, but it doesnt have HDMI 2.1, im looking at picking up an xbox series X.
Im wondering if its an existing practice to be able to convert the source 2.1 HDMi to displayport so I can make use of the 120 refresh rate?
Appreciate any insight on this
Thought id add an update that Iiyama are ignoring my emails and provide no use when i phone them, they have had my monitor for over a month now with no commitment to if or when they will receive stock for me to get my replacement, they also wont give me any info or details to complain to...
So am i better off waiting and buying in november when everything is clearer? I am looking for powering 1440p UW at over 60hz as its a 144 screen as mentioned, so i want the best outcome to hit those figures from a value perspective as although i could just go out and buy a 3080, i dont see that...
I didnt have trust activated but do now, so i guess ill find out within 24hr if thatll get me access or if i need o hold out for 1000 posts (a few more years!!)
to be honest any new card i see having stock issues and also being more pricey than a used card, so im not sure waiting has that much advantage? i dont need the best i just want better and value
Thought I’d share an update on my monitor that broke in transit to firmware upgrade, Iiyama have told me it’s not economical to repair it, so I’ll get a full new monitor.
The issue, after 2 weeks of chasing they can’t tell me if or when new stock will arrive, so I have literally no idea when...
