    GPU price war

Sorry, are you saying £2299 was a reasonable price but £2969 is crazy? I remembering arguing with similar posts in recent history that ~£800 was crazy pricing. The PC hardware enthusiast community has been a frog slowly boiling alive these past 5 years. My point remains the same; don't blame...

Anyone planning to buy the RX 6900 XT, rather than RTX 3080?

I can honestly say that if I got a 6000 series, I would not run timespy. When I get one I won't run it either. I'd just go with some Superposition to make sure thermal paste was not forgotten about, no online submission.

Horribly unoptimized game, the developers should be fired.

AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

I'd be a bit miffed if I was going for these instead of a 6900. Thought you said UK and Ireland for the Zen 3 launch.

    RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

I guess this saves me £175 in the end because I got the Aorus Master in the basket because the Elite was out of stock. I'll just wait for stable stock, no point in pre-ordering.

Zen 3 / Big Navi upgrade

Thanks but i'm thinking the P400S without the glass panel. It also might make more sense to buy all together as shipping something that size and weight to Ireland would not be very practical I think. Quick question though, the P400 is a 2x HDD and 2x SSD bay setup? Might not be ideal when I have...

Zen 3 / Big Navi upgrade

I know they can't be directly compared but an old 140W Hazwell can't be significantly better than a 105W Zen 3 when it comes to thermals? I don't plan to overclock unless its very easy and very stable, which I doubt. Not a fan of MSI but that's a convincing enough argument to put the Aorus in...

Zen 3 / Big Navi upgrade

I will use it for some casual compute, VM, server activities and I want to finally get into VR with an Index and Half-Life Alyx with the best experience possible. I always have a tendency to overdo it but with AMD CPU's/GPU's on song it seems like the perfect time to get a long lasting upgrade...

AMD Zen 3 (5000 Series), rumored 17% IPC gain.

"What specs do you have?" "A 5900x and a 6900xt" Seems odd, but calling them 6900x and 6900xt might be more confusing. Saying that, some harmony between CPU and GPU naming might increase sales from OCD suffers.

    Ryzen 3900X thread

So maybe about 80 watts with air cooling, that seems reasonable and in line with reviews. Thanks.

    Ryzen 3900X thread

I gave the thread a search but all the idle talk is about temps or voltages. I don't suppose anyone has measured their system power draw at idle?

    AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Absolutely. The fact that he had to go through each entry to condition the data showed how uncontrolled it is. Junk in, junk out. I applaud his attempt and knowledge of statistical analysis but the execution was lacking. Solve that and then you get to your point, or simply frame the results in...

Large monitor that is also a decent living room TV?

I would like a big monitor, of reasonable quality, that will also double up as a Netflix/youtube/DVD display for a living room. I'd only play wreckfest or Fallout 4 the odd time really, those days of Counter-Striking are long gone. I will upgrade the GPU later with a Zen2 upgrade, so...

Have GPU, heatsink, PSU, SSD and HDD. Need others.

Long story short, I gave my nephews an ivybridge PC for christmas to replace their Trinity FM2 system and the motherboard was killed somehow (damaged sata ports at least and milk stains in the case???, lesson learnt) Parts I have are an RX480, hyper 212 Evo, Seasonic g 550, SSD and HDD. The...
