Playing Wurm Online lately, it's a Sandbox mmorpg.
Once i get my new PC (Spec in my signature) i hope to return to Warhammer 3 and Rome 2 total war to run those games at maximum settings (i hope!). I'll also give the newer Battlefield games a go and Hitman 3 on maximum settings.

Hi Guys
My PC needs an overall upgrade and i am currently looking at these kind of components listed below.
I primarily want to to be able to maximize the graphic settings in games like Rome 2 total war.
CPUs: - Is there an alternative AMD processor that could be considered, if not this...
Issue resolved!!!
with the below from Gigabyte's Support:
1) Remove the M/B from the case.
2) Only install the basic components on the motherboard – CPU, CPU cooling fan, one memory module, VGA card (if there is no VGA onboard) and power supply.

I am considering the Gold over the Silver as theres only a £16 difference
Seasonic X-Series 850w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply [SS-850KM-F3] as the price difference is only slight with the
Silverstone Strider Plus 850W Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply (SST-ST85F-P)...
I dont believe it does, it has DDR2 ram i think at the moment. tbh that machine is also having its own issue with a ticking noise, the OS HD may be dying, its very old , im amazed its lasted this long.
Seasonic X-Series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply [SS-650KM3] £114
Akasa Venom 750w...
my other PC is AMD based. This one with the issue is Intel based. So that might be more work than its worth. According to the manual i am positive i did the CMOS
Says CLR_CMOS
Ok used screw driver, same effect, boots 2 seconds, loses power, boots up again(on its own) maintains power, HDs can be heard running but no power to mouse or monitor.
This was a 650W ZS Ocz by the way :-(
Again i noticed it did a 2 second boot up,, switched off, then booted up and it managed to stay on that time. But nothing going to the monitor or mouse again.
I'll try the CMOS now and if that doesnt work im ordering a PSU tonight. lol!
updated MB model above your post. What a struggle to pull one of the jumper caps off one of those fans.
Edit: if this doesnt work, what you guys think of this one?
