EHHHHH, strange, a few days ago the pc shut off and and then when I turned it back on it would power on very quickly and then just die. sometimes no responce at all. that was after a year running solidly with the same settings. So I am looking for a new board for my i7 set up, not sure...

I have memory that can run 2000mhz cas 8 and i cant tell the difference between 1600mhz and 2000mhz in performance. The only thing is the cpu will overclock further when using a memory speed less then 2000mhz.

I always set everything to manual, the cpu pll voltage has no effect on my chip except it increases tempratures very slightly with higher voltages. 1.3v is stable running prime 95 and LinX. My 3 xfx 5870 xxx cards have locked voltage I have tried literally at least 20 bios and modified them with rbe and its stuck at 1.1250v. strange thing is msi afterburner will some how allow voltage change. Has any one else had any luck with the locked xfx cards?

Interesting. I noticed this when i had the 8800 ultra and i had to find a driver that would work but was old. this is why i never delete the old drivers. basically if my games are fine and people are not raving about a new driver's performance i dont update.
