    Drive recommendations for Drobo 5D3

Hi all, I have a Drobo 5D3 with 3x Seagate Baracuda Pro's (ST4000DM006), as recommended by Drobo, and I'm looking to add another 2x drives to fill the remaining bays (2-4TB capacity ideally). Seemingly the aforementioned drive is unattainable right now (not even in stock in the store), which is...

    Monitor Recomendations - rMBP

Thanks for that, thought that would be the case. It's due an upgrade this year anyway, so I'll keep it at 2560 x 1440 for now. Worked out what is happening on the sound front - the monitor doesn't have speakers despite it having volume control, and showing up as an output from the mac. It...

    Monitor Recomendations - rMBP

Bit of a thread revival :) Picked up an LG 27UD88-W http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27UD88-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor paired with my 2012 (Gen 1) rMBP. Having had a bit of a play with both HDMI and Display port connectivity, I can display the maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 in scaled mode...

Living with a 'Plus' on a daily basis?

I've moved to a 7 plus too, and tbh my 6s work phone feels small in comparison. It is a large phone, but perfectly usable for me and fits comfortably in suit or jean pockets no problem.

My 7 plus was delivered this morning. I'm away on a stag weekend so won't get my hands on it until Sunday :(

Worth waiting for 2016 MacBook Pro for USB-C?

Mac announcements usually follow in October - and don't always need a keynote presentation to announce. I suspect they will though, just because of the rumoured changes.

    ** The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Thread **

I'm amazed by the amount of people willing to pay £50+ per month, for a phone contract! Wow 40gb per month - I assume you don't have wifi at home?

    ** The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Thread **

People jumping on the bandwagon I suspect. Even if you have invested in wired headphones that you're precious about, attach the dongle to them and the problem goes away... I personally use the jack a fair bit, but that's only because the supplied headphones used it. I also have some MPOW BT...

    WiFi / IP baby cam

Whilst not being used as a baby cam, I have a couple of Logitech Circle cam's, which are quite nice. The accompanying smart phone app is good too, and no subscriptions (the previous 24 hrs or so are stored, allowing you to download locally if you wish).

Street petite. help a noob spend wisely

I would go for the 35mm, as the focal length is a bit more usable on a DX. I had one on my old DX body (D3100), prior to the D750 and found it to be very usable - from landscapes and street scenes to portraits. In contrast to your kit lens, you'll be amazed how fast it is, and how well it...

    24-70 2.8 for Nikon - advice needed

I have a D750, and recently picked up the Tamron 24-70 2.8. I couldn't justify the price of the Nikon, but if I was getting paid to take shots, I would be tempted. I'm really pleased with the combination, and 5yr warranty is a bonus.

    Nikon D5 announced

Maybe so, but it seems to be a limitation of most DSLR's, if recording straight to card. I would have thought for anyone serious about video on DSLR, they would want to use something like an Atmos anyway, to get a clean and unrestricted output - and not have to worry about recording time.

Why does OS X have full screen?

Not quite sure what you mean?! How is 'maximise' more useful than full screen? It's useful for things like mail, aperture and safari, if you want to take advantage of the full screen, minus any distractions. Particularly useful if you have a smaller screen... You can then simply swipe...

    New En-suite

Looks like a really decent job they've done. The tiles themselves look decent, but not sure on the combination of brown and black, personally.
