Delided my AMD ryzen and direct mounted, dropped 20 degrees, so yeah it was worth it. The process was super easy with the DeLid Mate. Would do it again.
As Jamin said, not sticky at all. But I apply a drop of isopropanol, that#ll hold it in place, then evaporate within a few seconds, this can also be used to attach it and then rotate the graphics card upside down and it will still hold. Worked a treat with me. and no movement at all. I got about...
As others said, nail varnish over the small smds, but actually the cryosheet is the size of the chip, +0.5mm or so, so as long as you dont let it slip, its not a risk. as its too small to reach the conductive components.
Now installed on the 7900xtx Sapphire Nitro+ along with the 5800x3d in both cases installation is easy just dont move stuff about unnecessarily. The ability to avoid pump out and reuse is why I went with it. And so far no issues and impressive results. with the gpu and waterblock I have also...
im using a combination of kryosheet and the Direct die mount from thermal grizzly, had a 19degree temp drop at peak usage with stress testing for a few hours. That temp drop is both overall and hotspots as well, the hotspot delta also dropped to 13 from 18 degrees.
Will be installing on the...
Yeah I’m a tad frustrated, waiting to see if sapphire will reply and identify the component. I’m in a lucky position I work at a uni with the facilities to actually fix it, I just need a replacement SMD.. so we shall see if they reply
Exactly, that is what I expected to see when I took the cooler off. Nice clean finish, protected with nail polish. So a quick wipe down and ready to go with the water block. But alas no, it hadn’t been done. Alas my own fault for buying a card and relying on someone else to have done the process...
I had one, it had the Tim replaced with Liquid Metal. I went to remove the cooling block to install a water block and the Liquid Metal’s come into contact with the SMD and stuffed it. So now need a whole new graphics card.
So don’t use Liquid Metal!!!! But otherwise, before it was an awesome...
Before the rule change yes it was, I got a graphics card and a few other bits for the latest build and lots of stuff for the previous as well. Still one of the best places to purchase second hand components on the site. Always well looked after, always good prices and genuine sellers, much less...
Mine originally had Cherry reds, The Ducky I now have has Cherry red silents, these are very nice, similar actuation, but quieter, I would suggest a wrist rest to go with it. Otherwise I am very happy with my choice, this is a lovelly keyboard!
sea salt and paper with the extra salt expansion, plus Leaf which was delivered earlier in the week to a friend.
Got to say sea salt and paper was the best game of the year for me, well last year anyway.
hes done a good youtube video, yeah you need to use some nail varnish. the thermal grizzly stuff is just that relabled.
They sold out in Germany on pre order alone, so I wasnt able to get one, im waiting for the next batch
Yup, it was part of why I bit the bullet, 10 months on and still content. And looking at reviews the build quality is solid. And I know from experience the cherry switches last.
Sorry i didnt reply sooner, I had no notification there was a reply.
Anyway, they sent standoffs, they were the same size and useless, plus now i have a 15€ fee from Fedex for a 2€ product which I am trying to fight.
But the stand offs didnt work, so I bought longer ones off amazon which did...
