I'm using Windows 7.
Cmd says C:\Users\Max> (that's me).
I'm not too worried about it - most of it will probably go away if I reinstall Firefox. It's the links not turning purple thing that really weirds me out.
Something very strange happened the other day. I was having sound card issues, so I removed it but ended up using it again anyway - it was after booting the first time since then that the trouble started happened. It's like my PC decided to reset it's settings for a bunch of programs. In no...
This may be true but if running two GPU's makes one PCIEx16 slot run at x8 and the other at x1 while disabling the PCIEx1 slot then it's not really worth mentioning Crossfire.
I just got a 7970 so I think it's a good time to mod the crap out of Crysis for some ridiculously shiny nanosuit fun. But there's an issue. From what I have found, most of the sources for downloading said mods have been removed. As I'm sure you can imagine, this makes it difficult to get hold of...
Are you sure your motherboard even supports crossfire?
I tried to crossfire 7850's on my Asus P8P67 after the OcUK sales enquires people said I could do it.
As it turned out, when I tried to crossfire, the first PCIEx16 slot had bandwidth of x4 and the second was running at x1 - plus it disabled...
I have tried the new card alone and it works fine.
I also have the newest CAPs.
If I disable crossfire and play GW2 on the auto-detect settings, I get around 35-45 fps. However if I then enable crossfire I only get 8-11 fps.
Also, I just tried playing Guild Wars 2. It's using recommended settings for my hardware, but only achieving a measly 8 fps. It's like the second card isn't being used or something.
I tried wazza's idea but it didn't help at all, if anything, the drivers stopped responding more frequently.
I'm starting to think this is just a software issue that I'll have to wait for a fix for from AMD.
Thanks for the suggestions, I've tried all of those things but no toffee.
When I try to play The Witcher 2 (I think it's the best choice for this as it's extremely demanding) now and then it will freeze and I will need to tab out quickly before my system freezes entirely. When I see my desktop...
Today my second one of these arrived:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-052-HS
After installing it I checked CCC to see if everything was fine, which it seemed to be. Both cards register and look normal. I also put the clock speeds back to default on the first card to...
It's hard to put into words how much genuine hate I have for what has become of this franchise. As an avid fan of Crysis/Warhead I feel personally betrayed by Crytek and now they're just rubbing it in by making another god awful 'sequel'.
I really want to say Crysis 2 because of what it did to a series with huge potential. I felt personally betrayed by Crytek for what they did. But it's probably not even thwe worst game I've played.
The worst I've played was probably a terrible samurai game I had for the PS2. The controls were...
The first level of Crysis is the easiest to get sidetracked on and spend ages messing around with - there's so much fun to be had. It definitely deserves to be on the list.
