39 Bodies found in Lorry in Essex

There are press photos of the Police ceasing all three of the cars from the haulage family's house along with a motorbike which wasn't previously seen.

39 Bodies found in Lorry in Essex

He’s been charged with manslaughter, people trafficking and immigration offences and finally money laundering. That’s a number of offences to take to the CPS, especially the last one, so sounds like he’s far from an innocent party.

Hugo Boss refused to offer refund

Yup, it's a pretty common policy across retailers. There is also the fact that they might have to continue dropping the prices, so if you buy a product and return it a week later, it might now have another 20% off the sale price, which they have to put back on the shelves. If you hadn't taken...

    Drones over gatwick..

They’ve had their names and photos plastered over various media outlets. If it loses them jobs, or clients etc because of it then there are plenty of law firms who would take it up.

    Drones over gatwick..

As somebody else pointed out though, it gives them cause to sue the media outlets for defamation. They held them for a significant amount of time though, so that does raise the question as to whether it’s taken them that long to get together evidence or whether perhaps maybe he sold a drone to...

    Drones over gatwick..

A few news agencies are reporting that one of the people likely to have been arrested was a man in his 30's who was spotted down a country lane about four miles from the airport. Seems to make sense given he had two drones, one of which is clearly quite large and he was in a hurry. The fact he...

Breaking news just now that two people have been arrested.

Maximum is five years though, which as far as I'm aware nobody has ever been sentenced with. I agree though that in this case if arrested they'll get the maximum, perhaps given the disruption they can try and leverage many other charges at them for a longer jail term.

I don’t think they needed to ship in anything last night as there was quite a lot of rain!

    Drones over gatwick..

I saw on the news late last night that the Police had said they had dozens of reports from the general public and had a number of lines of enquiry. If the perpetrator(s) was stupid enough to be launching from a populated place, hopefully one of those reports comes good, but I can’t help but...

    Drones over gatwick..

Gatwick is going to have to re-open at sometime soon, so I guess the interesting thing will be to see whether it reappears like it did overnight when the airport first reopened. I expect the Army being there is so that when they do reopen, if it does show up again they’ve got some more...

    Drones over gatwick..

Older drones, home built or hacked ones can get around the geofencing that a lot of the big manufacturers are now using, such as DJI. The fact it’s being described as something industrial certainly suggests it’s not consumer level. To add to the theories lists, it could also be that a company...

    Drones over gatwick..

Nope, the only footage at all is from a guy sat in a plane on the runway last night, which all the news agencies asked him for the footage for on Twitter which a lot of them then ran with. However, it’s way too big and bright and quite clearly the Police helicopter, which was also confirmed by...

    Drones over gatwick..

To those commenting about the batteries. I’d refer people again to the interview from the CEO of Gatwick from earlier this morning which is up on the BBC somewhere. He said a drone had been continuing to return, never that there have been any hovering for hours. I suspect it was difficult to...

    Drones over gatwick..

A report I saw earlier said they didn't want to shoot it down because of risk of stray bullets. I expect they also want to trace the individuals, as if they can follow them, it should technically lead to the operator(s) unless they ditch it.

    Drones over gatwick..

I would agree that it just being "somebody messing around" has long gone out of the window now. If it was just a clueless/reckless operator, they might have foolishly done it one flight, but not multiple times over a course of many hours. Given the fact no planes are taking off and landing and...

Car ploughs pedestrians outside natural history museum.

I think that's one of the problems with the current climate. There was a person killed by a train at Oxford Circus a couple of days ago which naturally warranted a big emergency services response and the evacuation of the station. The evacuation caused people to flee for their lives, even...

    Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

Hotels I've been to in Mumbai do, they have full on baggage x-ray scanners and walk through body scanners at the doors. They also tend to have people checking any cars going onto the properties as well. As others have pointed out though, I can't see that happening in Las Vegas because it...

    GoPro Hero 6 Black

Battery life was good in the the Hero-Hero2 days, it's never really been the same since they moved to the smaller battery form factors. The point of shooting at a high frame rate is to provide smoother slow motion footage when you slow it down afterwards. 240fps at native speed will indeed...
