Not really... both are the same size in reality, but one is on stilts. Golf is newer tech though! One cannot compare a Golf with an Astra, or a Yeti with a CRV... those are different markets.

I own a 1.8TSI 4x4 top spec with pano sunroof and its a good car - it has enough power and drives very similar to a Golf. Side to Side with My 2.0TSI 4x4 Tiguan, the Yeti bettered in everyway - Its bigger, quieter, more premium and much more sporty drive... the 2lt 147kw TSI is a monster!
