    Pillow talk.

If price happens to be a concern then the pillow I linked to is showing a 25% discount voucher atm, taking it down to £27ish delivered. I use mine with the “prongs” facing forwards and it gives great support as a side sleeper. It goes everywhere with me

    Pillow talk.

I was a long-term neck pain sufferer and tried many pillows over the years until I bought this back in 2021: https://amzn.eu/d/0eqCVcD It’s the most comfortable and supportive pillow I’ve ever used and my post-sleep neck pain has all but vanished! It was great value for money and is still...

What April Fools have you seen today?

The best one I heard was a work colleagues NHS nurse gf, who text him to say she’d tested positive for Covid-19...such a sick sense of humour!

Anyone else seeing long Royal Mail delays?

Thanks for all the responses Things seem to be trickling through slowly now with a couple of deliveries this week, hospital cancellations and the like..no letter from Boris yet tho!

Anyone else seeing long Royal Mail delays?

Sounds like somebody needs to stop making assumptions. I don’t have to justify myself to you but 2 of the packages are presents for my 2 year-old from her grandparents who miss her like crazy!! Maybe if people only posted when they had something positive to say then the world be a nicer place...

Anyone else seeing long Royal Mail delays?

Clearly I’m aware that these are difficult times and there are going to be delays, but what’s everyone else’s experience of RM delivery times at the moment? I know of at least 4 items we’re expecting at home which were posted more than 5 days ago (one was posted 11 days ago) and none of them...

Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Ordered some baby wipes off Amazon yesterday which were in stock but apparently won’t be delivered until 1st May. The missus also ordered a waffle insert for our sandwich toaster at the same time, which arrived today...crazy!

When are you going fully electric?

I’ve had my Tekna 2.5yrs so far, only done 12k miles but it gets driven hard everywhere. Still plenty of tread left on the original tyres, so not sure what you’re doing to chew through them so quickly :)

Would you be able to jump start a car or change a tyre?

Yes to both. Having worked a Saturday job for quite a few years with my old man (who was in the motor trade for almost 50 years) I picked up quite a bit of mechanical knowledge. The mechanics used to let me do services on cars and this gave me confidence to try stuff on my own cars a few years...

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

Just to keep you all updated, SS have come back and advised they’re taking no further action against us, which is a weight off our mind. The investigations at the nursery are still continuing though and we likely won’t have the outcome from that until next week at the earliest.

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

Thanks bud. We've thankfully managed to find another nursery with the availability we require and our daughter starts her settling sessions as early as tomorrow! We really liked the manager and staff team and the nursery itself is set in 1.5 acres of woodland which allows the kids to get...

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

A Section 47 investigation is all about the parents. Once SS are content that the child is safe with the parents, they start their investigations elsewhere.

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

The skeletal survey took place yesterday and it was all clear. Social Services also visited to assess our home and we passed with flying colours. The social worker advised that a Section 47 needs to be closed out within 5 days so they’ll now visit the nursery along with the police to interview...

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

The police suggested that official investigations into the nursery should start tomorrow due to SS being closed over the weekend. The CT was clear and the skeletal xrays should be taking place tomorrow.

Currently being held prisoner in hospital...

Just to update you all, the police came round today to take a timeline of events and we’re expecting a Social Services visit early next week. Apparently the reason for the rapid response is that it’s being treated as a Section 47 incident, so the highest category of risk to a child.

Thanks for the useful info matey. The gf called the out of hours MASH team to give them a nudge and I’m not sure if it made any difference but they let us go an hour or so later.

You obviously missed the part where I said I’m glad they’re taking it so seriously. If there’s any hint of ranting it’s at the situation we were left in, not the process we became part of. I challenge you to not be frustrated with the situation when you’re got an 11 month old baby and a...

Afternoon all, Our 11 month-old started nursery this week and on Tuesday came home with a small red mark on the back of her leg. We thought nothing of it and carried on as normal, as you do. Wednesday she came home and the red mark had developed into a bruise and on further investigation we...
