Looking for advice on a solid state drive

Yep looking forward to getting it up and running. As someone posted above it looks like my MB doesn't support a duel boot system with the sata drives plugged in so today I'm gonna back up what i need then unplug the sata drives and get windows installed on the ssd. Ha yeah about those smaller...

Looking for advice on a solid state drive

So finished work today, opened the pc again and slotted in the ssd at an angle no bother. Didn't even have to remove the cooler. Was much easier doing it in broad daylight as opposed to artificial light last night. Was pretty tired as well last night which wasn't helping my frustration levels...

Looking for advice on a solid state drive

If you look at the 1st picture there is no slot for the thing to actually plug in and there's now way i'm gonna force it in. In the video the guy slots it in no problem. I've emailed western digital so I'l see what they say. I forked out £450 for a radeon 6800 that doesn't offer a display...

Looking for advice on a solid state drive

So I've watched that video about 8 times now and tried to replicate what the dude does and it doesn't fit in that slot either. https://imgur.com/nGZQAav How the hell is that meant to fit in there? I removed the screw just like he did but the screw on mine is tiny so not sure if its the exact...

Looking for advice on a solid state drive

So I purchased a wd_black sn850z 2tb m.2 2280 pcie gen 4 ssd but sadly it doesn't fit in my Z270X- gaming 7 MB. I gathered from this thread that a gen 4 ssd would only run at gen 3 speeds but it would it still be compatible? My MB does have 2 nvme slots but the ssd wont fit in these. Would I...

Looking for advice on a new pc build

So I still haven't managed to get my Radeon 6800 working yet. I've tried different cables and updated bios, still no display which is frustrating. I've contacted customer service so hopefully they can provide a solution.

Looking for advice on a new pc build

Bios is from 2017 so that could be it. Safe and easy enough to flash bios these days? I remember it used to be a real pain. Looks like I've got the F6 bios version dated 3rd of may 2017. Looking at the Gigabyte website for my Z270X- gaming 7 MB it looks like the last bios update was March 18...

So i bought a set of cables then and the 2 x 8pins fit into the radeon 6800 but the other 8 pin connector doesn't fit into my psu. I checked the type 3 cable i had plugged into my 1060 and the connectors fit into the radeon (cable has 2 x 6 + 2)and psu so looks like i didn't need to buy the...

Looking for advice on a new pc build

So my RX 6800 arrived but i've since found out it needs two 8-pin PCI Express power connectors. My old geforce 1060 just needed one 6 pin connector. Can someone direct me to the ones i need please? I assume my corsair rm850 psu will be compatible with the gpu power leads i need.
