LaCie 2big Network 2 & WD Green Drives

Hey, I have a LaCie 2big Network 2 that I'd like to use with 2x1TB WD Green Drives (1x WD10EZRX & 1x WD010EADS). I put them in, the LED's go blue indicating that the drives have been recognised but LaCie Network Assistant can't see anything. Is this because the WD Green drives aren't comptable...

    HTPC refuses to post

I tried the 3870 (all well as the ram etc) in two different computers and they worked, in fact I lent the card to a friend for most of last week and he had no problems. Minium components means just the cpu, 3870 and one stick of ram (one of the orignal sticks and a stick I took from a working...

    HTPC refuses to post

This is slowly driving me mad, I can't figure out why my HTPC wont post. The backstory is as follows; I built an HTPC from spare parts with the following spec: Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (originally an Abit but that gave up the ghost after a few months) Intel E6300 ATi 3870HD 4x 1gb crucial...

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

You'll struggle to get the right chain length if it is vertical dropouts, i would say you'll probably need a half link to get it right unless your very lucky

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

Black and white always looks slick and its pretty simple to do as black bike parts are always easy to come by. You could do all white with black parts ( see my other bike) or black with white parts like this: I got bored in work and built this up to muck about with. that being said i've bee...

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

To be honest I just dived right in and went brakeless. So I had to learn to stop pretty sharpish! the weirdest thing i found was pedaling through corners

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

Ahh the sensible choice, if i had to do a long distance daily commute I would definitely go for that option. My old build was based off a '86 custom build tourer made by Dave large from swindon for my friends dad. My new one was a total bargain frame, forks and cane creek headset were £126...

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

Ha I do mean no brakes, you technically don't need a brake as you have total control over your back wheel. If you apply back pressure to the cranks you can stop the wheel from turning and thus stop the bike. But I've found that its beneficial to have a front brake for emergencies.

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

Ahh, i wondered if you had converted it from something else. Its hard to tell from the photo, what dropouts does the frame have? horizontal? I was almost tempted to get a trick bike, my friend just got a charge scissor. But i've decided to get a jump bike instead.

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

On my old bike I rode 48/18 and on my new one i ride something like 17/42 i think. I've found they've both been good ratios. What about you? What hub are you using on the back?

    Anyone else ride fixed gear?

I suspect i might be opening myself for some flack here, does anyone else here ride fixed gear? I've recently finished my new bike: though it now has track drops and a selle italia flite titanium saddle. this was my first bike which i've just sold: I used to ride brakeless but several...

White macbook restarts when i tell it too shut down

My macbook has developed a rather odd glitch when i tell it to shut down, either via the top bar shortcut or via pressing the power button to get the menu, it'll just restart. So i'm left with having to press and hold the power button for 5 sec's to shut it off. this seems to have started since...

    New mobo - no sigma

Hi, Just got a new (well second hand but only a few times) Gigabyte GA-P35C-DSR, after my abit IP35 died. I got it installed it all spins up etc, there's clearly stuff going on because the HD light flashes, i know all the other components are ok because i was using them until recently. but...
