Oh man, I miss those days! I had the Amiga 500, was my first real gaming platform. Fond memories of Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters, Walker, Chuck Rock, Desert Strike... Sooo good!

How much vram is on the 280x? At 1440, I've found with new games VRAM usage seems to be increasing pretty sharply and you really need 3gb+ to cope with modern games at 1440.

Well, I would, same architecture does count for a lot... No shoddy "next gen" PC ports that I've seen? Initially Far Cry 4 was pretty poor preforming, but new driver revisions/patches fixed that. Dragon Age Inquisition run's beautifully on my PC And I expect GTA V to be the same.

Those temps seem really high?. What are your general case temps like? I'm running the Galax 980 and it's only hitting about 55c in Dragon Age with the fans turned down to 33%?

I myself have gone for a single 980, as I'm moving from 680 sli mostly due to hassle with an sli setup, prefer single card.
