I've yet to see someone (sure there are) say they have not got the cracking sound, I have it right now. If you pinch the sides and/or put pressure on the back panels (without touching the screen obviously) you can replicate this noise - in this instance, it leaves me to believe its a heat issue...

I got mine from OC, N5 and its perfect! No noise, no bad pixel.. Couldn't be happier! I would give them a call though, as when I called they said they had 65 back orders and thusly this batch was all sold out.
