it just seems like a con to keep the boilers warranty. I’ve saved nearly £1000 by not servicing my boiler. If it breaks down I can get it repaired or buy a new one.

I’ve been an a complete dimwit and paid for a 2 years service plan for £1100. I just worked out if I paid for 2 services individually it would cost me £850 (350 + 500). This includes all additional items. Lesson learnt. always check if service plan is actually cheaper.

I’ve used Yuasa and Varta batteries without any problems. My old fiesta fitted with a 7 year old Yuasa started without any problems after not driving it for 8 months during lockdown. This was without any trickle charging. A new battery is so cheap there’s no point keeping it trickle charged.
