Budget CPU for Asus Strix B350F mobo?

Hey guys what's the cheapest CPU + 8GB RAM combo I can get away with that would be supported by an Asus Strix B350-F motherboard? Board says it supports Athlon A series, so was thinking this: AMD A-Series A6 9500 ? Ideally, with the GPU function, think that's an APU?? Sorry for the newb...

Spec me a video editing system

Thanks for all the replies thus far. Budget wise I'd like to keep it under £6k. Some research and it appears the most recent versions for Adobe Premiere & After Effects both utilise CUDA within the Nvidia range to offload rendering. So I'm now looking for some form of SLI set up. I'm been...

    Best Man Speech Help!

I used to film wedding videos so have heard many best men speeches. The best have always been the ones that are short and concise. My advice is to practice the speech 5 times and keep it under 4 minutes if possible. You are spot on with a structure 30 seconds for congratulating them and...

Spec me a video editing system

Yes so my system at the moment has 24GB RAM - comes in very handy when rendering with After Effects. Almost all gets eaten up. I've been investigating things further and see that a decent GPU is on the cards. I'm not sure I can stretch to a Nvidia Quadro - if anyone has experience please...

Spec me a video editing system

Hi guys & girls I'm working with a company just now and they've got a requirement for an internal video editing system. I have a system at home that I've used for the past 7 years but I know things have moved on somewhat. At a guess we will be using Adobe Creative cloud/premier. OS and...

Small office router with VPN - best hardware to use?

I would probably upgrade the Draytek to a newer model. They are actually very good pieces of kit for business. If you can get away with a meraki for the wireless (i've just done a vid here on meraki for business) What's the error log look like in the current draytek. Might it be the line...

Starting a VLOG on tech for business

Diddums thanks for the feedback. I guess the main reason I'm doing it outside is to differ from the crowd. I could be sat behind a desk but everyone else is doing that. This way I can add more to the video I guess. Points noted about the intro and camera. Will let you in on the next...

Starting a VLOG on tech for business

Hi guys - I've decided to start a vlog specifically for businesses and how they can get more out of tech. I don't really see anyone else doing a vlog in this area and my day job dictates that I speak to a lot of business owners that don't have the first clue about tech. Anyway the first video...

    [time machine] i920 i7 to 4ghz

Just back, managed to plop the x5650 in and kept the same settings in the BIOS, running at 4GHz max temp 57oC yesterday, on what I believe was the warmest day of the year. Very happy with this setup now, lets see if I can come back here in 5 years with another post :)
