Er... No. If it's too hot to touch, that's way to hot. If your setups pulling half the rated wattage, the psu should barely get into its 30s-40s. This message might have gotten to you too late. I hope you have a fire extinguisher...
Silicon lottery, now panel/monitor lottery...
I have a nice U3415W, that was already a LG panel lottery, now if I go Acer that will be an AU Optronics lottery.
...but I do want a g-sync 34", 1440. As always, waiting for reviews and the ASUS alternative (which will probably be even more expensive).
Pity, I have been using it myself, and had hoped it was something rather than a placebo effect.
I guess as soon as a gsync, low ms refresh, alternative comes along, I'm upgrading. Even though I have a good sample, I doubt that I will recoup any more than a third/half? value from my unit...
It's only 120 as the small factory do not have their cables certified to 144. The VESA DP logo costs big bucks compared to basic materials to make the cable.
Just use the overclocked CPU analogy. If one cable doesn't work, bin it. Buy another.
The default settings were way to bright for me, and are only of any use to anyone in a high noon sunlight room. Mine was pre-calibrated at 75 brightness, 75 contrast in Standard preset.
I turned off dynamic contrast + uniformity compensation, dropped the brightness to 20 and compensated the...
Rev: A00 U3415Wb
Manufacturing date: Nov 2014
An okay example, not perfect :( It should be for the price, I blame myself for being an early tech adopter.
Apologies for the really crap camera.
Apple 20 left, Dell U3415W right, in standard night time desk lighting.
Calibrated 110cd/m3...
If we take hypotheticals :P
Company E has a Christmas picture showing all the lovely CS girls in front of a scoreboard of how successful each has been in refusing RMAs.
Company D acts as a virtual store for 2 large distribution warehouses. A DSR gets initialled by person A, passed to person...
Is HDMI ideal for this monitor as I vague recall people writing HDMI 2.0 is hassle free for this resolution @ 60Hz, whereas DP has power sleep/waking issues?
Thank you, but my 4 month old 970s do not have DP1.2a. Thus within the next build - I'll not only have a new socket 1151, but will have to change to the next gen of vga cards plus the new monitor.
Hurray :( for proprietary standards, even ASUS don't know which camp to support. I hope by the time Skylake gets released (my next build schedule), it'll be clearer whether the industry will go freesync or gsync.
Strange that the itx is same size as matx, but trying to hit a price point and compromising with plastics. ...and the ATX lost the 5.25 bay, I guess the feedback was that no one used it, but more available options is always better.
Is that new grey Evolv the Gunmetal version that's already in...
Too much of a blanket statement. Like all news: research, analyse and find the truth from the point of origin.
It's always good to hear AMD is still alive, even though Intel has been laughing at them since Bulldozer 2012 (or if your cynical, anything after Athlon).
Nice, that covers all the single pumps, but watch out if you have something like a dual DDC 2x 5.2m head, that's nearly 15 psi. Plus give it a 15-20% margin of error above that.
I was thinking more of the H630, its the H440, with 2 external 5.25, currently on offer
