Played on Sunday as a casual round with my buddies. Started strong and kept it at 5 over after 9 holes, with 1 birdie on the front 9. Then rifled my drive down the 10th, longest I've hit it down there for awhile, managed to birdie the par5 (10th hole). 11th hole, 180y par3 - Managed to birdie...

Roman Road usually plays better than the Monty, but probably going to still be a bit wet, although the weather today could really help! Carts as in 4 wheels and drive around in them? Yes. Trolleys, unsure, as didn't see anyone with a push-trolley of any type. Me and my friend carried the round...

Played the Montgomerie Course at Celtic Manor yesterday. Played pretty well overall Couple of bad drives which I'm working on fixing (low, left hook), but overall - decent score and was pretty relaxed through it all. On course conditions: The course was terrible. They offered us money back...

That's the mat I have and its great. No concerns, I turn it around every few weeks, just to wear it evenly. I've hit around 10k balls on mine, without any noticeable marks on it at all. For those 2 launch monitors, if its in the garden, both are great I believe. I had the R10 for awhile, but...

I've booked myself into a Gears 3D Golf Swing Analysis, with pressure plates. I'm a big techy and this is just some fun for me, even if it's pricey - it's gonna be cool to have 2 coaches talk to me about where my pressure and timing is out of sync to get me a more optimized swing, for speed...

Love those and the colour! I'd hate to wear them in this weather though, they'd quickly become wrecked :( On other news, just had my first lesson of the year. My hooks have been identified from having my right elbowed untucked and less connected during impact, meaning I've been over-closing...

I'm not displeased: Have been out for a round with them and they were excellent. Shame about my chipping and putting that day, but the irons were great for me!

New clubs fitted and now on order. Had 90 mins to try some heads and a bunch of shafts, different lengths and different weights. Ended up trying to the Apex Pros, Titleist T150 and P770s. It was close between the P770s and T150s. I liked them both, hit them both pretty well and distance and...

How long is the horrible wait? Anyone else bought new clubs recently? How long was the wait? Trying to get an average, to set expectations for myself when I order new clubs next week..

149 ball speed, lets call it 150. Probably swinging between 100-105MPH Launch is about right for that speed swing, pretty optimal really. Land Angle could be a little less, for a bit more rollout, but 17 yards is fine really. Shot went left, so probably a bit lower and less spin than normal...

It's suggesting that, on average, your holes are roughly (blue > white = 208y diff over 18 holes = 10-15 yards difference per hole). That's just 1 club difference for your approach depending on your yardages, which equates to an extra shot, over 18 holes. Perhaps?

Agree with the scoring submission all year round, it's swings and roundabouts for what's easy/hard. I submit cards all the time (for casual play), as long as it's not ridiculous conditions. I find it easier in the winter, probably due to clean and place ruling. I can hold the greens more, but I...

I feel exactly the same way! I've had to carry all winter at my course anyway, but even going and playing courses where trolleys were allowed, I still opted to carry since it feels easier than operating my electric trolley. I don't feel tired carrying 18 nowadays, so going to stick with it until...

Had a really interesting session on my sim the other day, with a friend who plays of 9. Hits the ball with a big Out-to-In path of about 7+ degrees. Hits it dead straight, maybe a very slight fade, but very consistently, he's been playing for years. His distances are low though, even though he...

I have this identical issue!! :D I feel like I need a club for that 105-110 distance, but do I really? Like really really need it? I have 13 clubs in the bag, perhaps I should 2 of my vokeys and buy another club. My current wedges are 60, 54, 50, then 43.5' PW I *could* go: 60/56/52/48/PW -...

True enough, swing weight is all about having a specific balance point to what you feel is best to you. Should really be done as part of the fitting process. If you lengthen the club, it normally means there would be a bit more weight near the grip and the club head would probably feel slightly...
