I'm not sure saying OCers is powerless on the market is entirely fair tbh. That retailer that had a few different cards up for sale today didn't have a queue system (you had click on notify and were entered into a raffle to get the card) and have only had one or 2 cards become available since...

Unfortunately I don't think so. I got confirmation of my queue position a short while ago and it hasn't changed (still 21). Not sure how the queue updates are set up, but could be based on Strix shipments rather than specific non-oc shipments.

Probably not helpful for you unfrotunately, but I had microstutters in certain games (AC Odyssey was doing my head in) and finally discovered that the culprit was the new version of Xbox one controller. I was connecting via BT and with haptic feedback activated. Apparently windows was waiting...

Yeah totally fair. Just asking because once I retire my 2080Ti from my main machine (for a 3090) I'll put it in my H1, but with the plastic shroud is ever so slightly too long, but if I remove the shroud it will fit. It's got a waterbock on it now so not too concerned about modding it slightly...

What if you remove the plastic (or is it metal?) shroud? Will it fit?

Not referencing the Strix specifically, but I believe OCUK may have separate stock for PC builds (as hinted at above by a forum member). If you go to the their Custom Gaming PC configurator, you can select a *build stock* Gigabyte 3090 that you can configure. I think it makes a lot of sense...

Ah, wasn't aware of that. Well, if/when I receive any cards I'll ask for advice on the best way forward. Ultimately I am hoping for the Strix non oc that I bought here on OC as it would be my first choice.

That makes sense. I was thinking of selling on gumtree but I think via the forum might be the better option.

I also have 4 on order (multiple stores) and was going to do the same. Just need to find a sure fire way not to sell one at cost to a scalper...

Yeah I'm pretty surprised as well. I went for non-OC only because it was my number one chjoice, not so much because it could be the card I am more likely to get. I'm also curious to know whether the time stamp or the OC number will be prioritised when assigning cards.

I would expect at least a couple to be available, but might just be wishful thinking... The Z490 board lineup has a couple of ITX boards available on launch so would hope manufacturers take a similar approach to B550.
