I don't suppose anyone has any success convincing a landlord to allow City Fibre to install the network in their building? My landlord owns the whole building and has apparently refused permission for City Fibre (my ISP has told me this when I tried to order via email) to install the totally...
Wow. Those Borderlands and Godfall performance hits. Ouch.
I will see what it's like in Cyberpunk and Control. At least you can turn it off per game too. Not super quick, but do-able.
Disable CSM and using UEFI yup. The NVIDIA post did mention 'unofficial' support for other processors, but the 8XXX processors weren't in the original NVIDIA post.
Regarding anti-virus, I will try it again with the Windows one turned off, as I didn't realise that was a problem! I will try again...
So I've done everything I needed to - no Resizable BAR for me, despite flashing the new motherboard BIOS, having the driver installed, and flashing my GPU with the firmware. Oh well. Guessing I fall into the 'unofficial' support for now. Hopefully Gigabyte and NVIDIA work together to make it...
Even though the NVIDIA article - https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-30-series-resizable-bar-support/ - doesn't mention the Z370 chipset, there is a BIOS update on the Gigabyte website for my motherboard to enable it. Worth checking for anyone not on a 10th or 11th gen Intel...
I think it was doing the first lot of search indexing. It's quitened down now and hasn't been that noisy since that day. It did have to index around 4TB worth of data, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised! It's in one of the Phanteks P600s drive cages. Not sure if that maybe also made it worse...
CrystalDiskInfo isn't reporting any problems. I did have one drive that was reporting issues and I disconnected that fully, but the noise persisted. It just sounded too rough to be normal.
Definitely not a fan - they are very quiet. Oddly enough, since posting this the noise has stopped. I...
Hello.
I have a concern about a hard drive in my PC. I think it's my brand new WD Gold 12TB hard drive, but I'm not 100% sure yet. Recently moved my whole PC into a P600s case.
When my PC is on and has been idle for a bit, it starts making this noise...
Wow! That's a fantastic price. I've just transferred my system into a P600s. Really liking it so far.
It used to live in a Corsair Obsidian 900D which was just a total monster. I'm a lot happier with the Phanteks. It was a little tricky to build in, as my PSU is an older Seasonic SnowSilent...
I would recommend not buying a Noble Chair.
I am the same height as you and I own a Steelcase Leap v2. Bought second hand about 3 or 4 years ago now. Absolutely worth it.
Also fitting that it fits with a classic game collection :D
I owned a gaming chair. It was horrible. I had awful shoulder pain. On the advice of someone on this forum I bought a Steelcase Leap v2. Second hand and re-upholstered. From https://www.2ndhnd.com/
I would never buy a 'gaming chair'...
I went in a different direction. I bought a Phanteks P600s. The metal side panel version. It's a clean looking case, should hold up well. Cooling performance isn't massive between 'Silent' and 'Performance' modes.
I hope the OP finds something that's clean and simple too. The P600s isn't...
How much worse is the airflow in this and the 5000D compared to the airflow version?
This is a case I have considered - it looks gorgeous. Only problem is I have no NAS solution right now, and I have 4 3.5" HDDs. Seems all PCs don't far in more than two HDDs these days.
I'm very much in a similar position to you. I am changing my case from a monstrous Corsair 900D to something more managable. Preferably a midi tower. I haven't found a single case that is simple like the two above and promises good airflow. It seems like it's window and airflow, or no window and...
Yeah, the space between the side and the fans is likely to be more of an issue. I think you can open the side panel if needed. I would try it out and then see.
That's better than I was hoping for! Thanks.
The card is 3.36 cm wide. I think it might just fit. I found a photo a while ago of an RTX 2080 Ti in that case with the same cooler and it fitted. I'm not fussed if it doesn't fit well, as I still like the case. Not like it has to cool on that side...
I have a question about the vertical triple slot. Do you think there is enough room to fit an RTX 3090 in there vertically with a Noctua D15s? This is the exact same setup I'm considering.
