Downstairs is approx 130 m2
Cost of channeling, manifold, pressure testing and flex seal over the pipes was almost 4k.
I was replacing a warm air fed system, so i had no pipes or rads in the house.
I used https://www.jk-gb.com/ to retrofit wet UFH in my refurb. They chased into the screed - did a great job.
You could talk to them about your floor construction and see what they recommend.
For the heatpump (16kw), cylinder, rads and wiring up the UFH it came to 9k [after the grant]. That included the pipework btw.
UFH channeling / pipework / manifold etc on top was 4k
I just purchased a rural property which needed a very old oil to warm air system replacing.
After a lot of consideration and discussion with various folks, I went for ASHP + Solar. I found that the companies wanting to keep oil were really only recommending it because it would be a quick job...
Ended up going with an independent.
Same spec heatpump, rads of my choosing and I get given all the pipework design sheets etc.
Same price as Octopus (with BUS) but install in January.
From Octopus:
Daiken 950kw heatpump
250l cylinder
7 rads upstairs including pipework
£14,880
after the BUS payment £7380
Install target is April/May.
I am replacing an oil driven warm air system hence the pipework. Downstairs is UFH (which I've prepped already).
What I find frustrating...
16 panels. (6.24kw system)
5.2kw battery storage
power diverter
£15.5k installed
This is through a "solar together" local council scheme. Seems expensive.
I cancelled and the contract ended last night, boxes going back next week. The retention offers were not where I wanted to be, though I suspect some of that was BT Sport.
Signature HD, Sky Sports HD, BT Sport & Netflix best offer was £79.50 a month with a multi room box.
Got internet down to...
I can only give you my 2p, but push for counselling as much as you can. I called it quits probably a little too easily and what you write sounds a lot like how I felt so resonates. 13 long years in a very difficult relationship/marriage but now my son lives in another country and watching him...
Firstly, if you love her then talk to her and tell her how these things are impacting you - she absolutely deserves that and its important for you too.
If things don't change and you continue to have doubts end it respectfully and leave. I made the mistake of not confronting things (albeit...
How do you divorced folk get on with accepting a new partners kids?
This seems to be my biggest challenge since divorcing. The relationship is great, but the kids are a challenge for me mentally. I suspect its because my son went back with my ex wife to her home country meaning harder for...
They aren't as expensive as you think. Our old supplier was better, this new guy we've been using (Twister Barbell) isn't great for service tbh. Delivery is expensive (£70).
And man, that stone is heavy. Can rep the 140kg onto platform comfortably but the 160kg is an absolute pig to get off the...
