Prolimatech Megahelems with push/pull have always worked very well for me on i7 920's.

This ^ I bought an SSD after all the hype that was going around and have thought it was a waste of money ever since. Yes its an improvement, but worth the cost? Not really. And barely noticeable in real use.

Looked at pictures, expected £50~60. Looked at price; what a bargain. Will be looking at these for the next budget builds.

Which is of very little to no benefit anyway? you dont lose any functionality.

Do you really have to ask? Build a machine, save a packet and get the same performance :) The Ubuntu idea is probably a good one to try first though.

You're better off with Stulid's spec. Print screen it and upload image to something like photobucket.

What PSU do you have? The 560Ti is a solid card if you want to keep power consumption/heat/noise down. Otherwise the GTX480 is better for performance if you can pick one up in-budget.
