Yeah i don't really know either and don't think it due to the age of the DIMS so maybe they only load EXPO profiles on some. I've got HWiNFO64 to get some additional details and it is showing them at having manufacting date year 2023, week37 and SK Hynix A-Die (4.1) so pretty sure they are not...
I've just put together a new 7800X3D and thought it would be useful to post an update in case anyone is interested. So the bad news is that the Lexar 6400MHz CL32 RAM discussed above does not have any AMD EXPO profiles - i've checked in the BIOS and confirmed this in CPU-Z SPD as described in...
I think that would be overkill for what i need as i'm only playing at 1440p / 165Hz and trying to keep within a budget, but it is hard not to push it a bit when you see good deals. I originally was going to get a 7800XT but that already passed that!
oh nice hope you got a great deal, that sounds like an awesome setup. I was going to get a 7900XT but now leaning towards the 4070 TI Super, so let's see...
Went for the Lexar 6400Mhz CL32 which are on their way, along with a new 7800X3d and expecting them to be delivered later next week. I've quick flashed the motherboard so hopefully it all should work out the box, but I've not got a graphics card as i'm waiting to see if the latest release drops...
Thanks PhigBill, appreciate the time taken to post whilst you are away!
If you have the sticks and they have a saved EXPO profile i'll take the punt and get them. If needed I can drop the speed manually and worst case they can always be returned but the big selling point is the Hynix A die as...
i think the 6000mhz or slower kits
I think the 6000MHz and slower kits have the EXPO profiles but the faster ones don't. There is a video from mike's unboxing youtube channel which is now 7 days titled - "LEXAR Ares ARGB DDR5 6400mhz RAM Best Value DDR5 RAM" and 30secs in the box cover clearly...
Hi @PhigBill , could i just double check you have this RAM with a 7800X3D and used EXPO on it with no problem? I've been looking at it for a while and getting conflicting information on various websites on wether it is EXPO compatible or not as even their own website focusses on the XMP side...
Thanks very much, that is really useful.
thanks for the input, i was looking at the be quiet! range earlier so good to know the rmxs are another slightly cheaper but good alternative.
Thanks for the response and valid point. My thinking is that it is a PSU from a reputable brand which still works well so saving £150-£200 on a new one can better be spent towards a better CPU or GPU.
The PSU cables i have are listed below:
ATX connector (610mm)
1 (20+4 pin)
4+4 pin EPS12V...
Hi all,
I have a Corsair RM850 which i bought new in 2013 - the version with yellow writing (seen here). It's run flawlessly through a couple of builds and i've got the original cables so looking to reuse it in a new build.
I'm looking at getting a medium/high end computer but struggling to...
Rowsers! Hey iain nice to see you on the forums again. I don't know
about others but what put me off most was playing with useless players like
grimage. Group games require everyone to be coordinated, no slacking off,
especially end game content. Anyway stop playing wow with retards it helps...
Just seen thread and funnily enough got screwed over by barclaycard yesterday.
Had a DD set up with them to pay off in full every month, but for some unknown reason it was not processed last month. I have no idea what happened and was under the impression it had all been paid off until i got a...
Don't worry about the smell of cat pee that is S7riders dog Emily. Silly bitch is hooked on cider like a crack addict and roams the streets at 1am peeing all over the place?
Island full of old people who are retired? You sir need to do a bit of research before posting the first thing that...
Sorry I meant the 1600MHz kit, what are the RMA rates on that one? There is a thread complaining about how bad they are and i know that quite a few reviews including my own never made it through to the ocuk product page.
But judging by your reply they seem far stabler so that is good news :D
