Hello
I basically have no real budget. I am looking for a ultra portable Windows 8 laptop (yes, I am one of the 6 people who actually like it...!). I don't really care for the touch screen; I have found a good touch pad to be more than enough and I don't want to get my grubby fingers all over...
Your background image is painful to load, its 800KB, most of it is hidden from view and crawls down my screen :)
Maybe you could use two images on left and right of the content wrapper div instead of as a background, then change it to jpeg and reduce the export quality.
Well in the PHP Framework Code Igniter they use URI rewriting to map the request to a function call and part(s) of the URI is passed to the function as a parameter(s). usually one of those parameters or a combination of them creates a unique key so you can look it up in the database.
But the...
its the integrated graphics card, try updating your drivers but i don't think it will make much of a difference.
You have to remember you have brought a beta Indy game developed by very few people in Java so don't be shocked that it isn't highly optimised for laptop hardware.
Try having a...
Cool, i'll switch them over tomorrow and see if its the airflow. I have an antec 900 so there is plenty of fans in it so i may up the speed on a few and put a fan over the top of the gpu's too as there is a space for one. Good to hear it isn't unusual for these cards. :)
Hello,
I have two 4870's and I noticed that the top one is running very hot. The fan goes to 100% (but doesn't sound like it) and it kept climbing to over 100c! The lower card gets to about 85c and stops climbing. I am guessing this is excessively hot? Any recommendations!
Hello,
I need a looking for a nice free jquery slideshow plugin that can do the following:
* can be fullscreened or just on the page.
* has a title.
* has a description.
* preferably easily customisable theming
has anyone got any recommendations? There seem to be so many available and none of...
No real experience building a NAS box but I would just download each OS and play around with them in VirtualBox. :)
I would also recommend looking at Ubuntu Server (debian), OpenSUSE and CentOS (based on redhat).
I agree with Paul. The problem with learning C or C++ is that you will have to do a lot of work to make anything fun, which will most likely lead to you giving up after getting bored.
I recommend beginners to look at a beginner language first and just get used to the problem solving aspect...
i got beta access to BuildorPro which looks awesome for what you want (although i haven't really played with it yet):

You basically build a website in a browser so you know that the markup will work. Do not know if they are still giving keys though.
You were totally right to refuse to get in the car. I do not think you should try to take the keys off of her as it is still her decision to drive and not yours...
Ooh you all have much nicer timings than me, mine take a few seconds(2-3? not bothered with time stamping it) on my laptop without any multithreading in C. Will see if i have time to clean it up and submit it. But then as i won't win for sheer speed by the looks of it :(
Oooh I may have a go at this if i get time. With now being in my final year at uni everything has turned to theory and I want to flex my coding brain again! I was thinking about learning SmallTalk for fun (how normal!) over Christmas so I may do it that. If not I think it will have to be plain...
I went with the Acer 8371 + Win7 Ult. off of my Microsoft employee friend + c300 SSD and its an amazing laptop. I ran it for a while with Vista and with the standard HDD and I was more than happy with it as it was, just like upgrading stuff!
