Hold on, I thought OcUK said that they were stocking up on the TUF cards so that they could offer them to people who have been waiting in the current queues to try and clear the backlog of pre-orders?? Now they are just listed on the site as 10+ in stock and we're all left high and dry?
This is the exact reason I went for the Asus TUF card as it was one of the largest ones that would actually fit in the H1. Having a quick look at OCUKs offerings, the inno3d twin x3 have a 2 slot model that is slimmer then the TUF & EVGA cards so that would fit but I've got no idea how good it...
Its concerning for the lower tier parts that do offer good value vs Zen3. The 11600k and below are all very good and will be popular and with Intel saying they will be prioritising the top tier skews it might cause a problem.
First of heard of TSMC 6nm, does anybody know any info about it? I'm assuming its just a tweaked 7nm that they are calling 6mm to differentiate it but will be interesting to see how Zen3+ shapes up on it. A slight clock bomb across the board?

Looks like there is a substrate shortage that is going to effect rocket lake supply in Q2.
Good video from Dr Ian Cuttress about intels reasoning. Basically the design engineering experience is invaluable to intel's engineering teams, even if the product isn't necessarily a massive success vs the competition.
I'm tempted by an 10850k but I don't think my 140mm aio will coupe well with the heat output. I currently have a 10600k running 4.9 all core at 1.285v which is pretty much the upper limit of what I can run.
The 11900K is likely far more popular then all of the other 11900 models as its the de-facto top tier intel chip of the new gen so its going to be the one thats sold out initially. All the enthusiasts have pre ordered it and anybody else who is looking to save a bit of money will be looking at...
Smart move right there. I've been in one of the 3080 queues since release and probably wont get the card at all it seems. Luckily I have a 1080ti which is doing OK for now but I'm missing out on the ray tracing features :(
Alder Lake is an even bigger unknown then Rocket Lake was imo. First gen big little CPU + first gen DDR5 platform means there's a lot of potential teething issues that could crop up. I definitely wouldn't want to be an early adopter
The 11600k looks like the only one worth getting really as its actually reasonably priced compared to the 5600x. For the 11700k and up just get Ryzen instead.
Yeah I don't expect nvidia to release an FE version of this either, it will be AIB only which means they won't be available anywhere near RRP if at all.
You won't have any issues installing if you go with a Kf chip. There are minor benefits of having the igpu though, like quicksync or just having a backup so that your PC is usable should your graphics card have issues. Whether that is worth the price difference is another question.
