Could you try restoring the drivers to factory defaults, maybe some settings have stuck, such as AA? I have an ATI card, so I don't know whether this option is available in the nvidia control panel

What does gpuz or afterburner show during games? how hot does your card get? It would be strange to see a faulty board producing 50-60% performance. It would more likely be a driver issue. Thanks

Hey Mast3r, how is the performance on other games? have you got crysis or metro to compare? can you have a look at msi afterburner or gpuz to see if the activity is o.k.?

Thanks a lot mate for running them. It seems as though your video memory usage has also gone done to 39% from 80%, although the frames per second look approximately the same (the shadows and view distance settings were different on your first bench). I'm running the steam version, so I assume...

Cheers everyone. I think I'll try the 10.4's and report back. @zia your benchmark shows that 80% of your video memory is being used, while mine was using a maximum of 30%. MSI afterburner also showed the cores only using a tiny percentage usage wise. Any other ideas?

@Damolee I tried messing around with the commandline.txt file, but my performance stayed EXACTLY the same :( Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thank you Damolee for that info! :) although, it does show that my 5970 does have 2gb of video memory available in the graphics menu (even though in reality the 5970 has 1gb of video memory duplicated), it just isn't using it apparently :/. Can anyone with a 5970 and GTA IV share their results...

p.s. should'nt the game be using more video memory than 32%??
