What scam method is this? (FB market)

Fb marketplace is the worst place to buy from. Full of scammers as it's not regulated.

    Best house flea killer

I've used a combination of the flea bomb and flea spray in the past in every room. Most effective way is to treat the source though.

Lila Connect - VX Fibre 1gig - Stoke on Trent

It went out for me last night at around 11pm for about 20 minutes. It had been fine all throughout the day but I had seen others mention it not working. Also, they now offer 2.5 gigabit connections to the home. Surely no one needs this?

    Reddit is dying

My favouite place is LegalAdviceUK, so many people on there who have absolutely no clue of the law and definitely should not be giving any advice.

    *** Official GL.Inet Devices Thread ***

I was looking at a travel router a couple months ago for an upcoming trip to the USA. Which of these would be best as a travel router? Around 5 devices connected plus would like to have VPN option; either to back home or just to PIA.

why is my 2TB SSD showing up as 1TB?

When you clone, it clones it exactly as it was so going from 1tb to 2tb drive will only clone the 1tb partition. Likely you'll need to extend the partition in disk management.

    Mixed Network!

If you have two PCs that both have 2.5Gb network cards and your switch is 2.5Gb, you can transfer files between them at up to 2.5Gb speeds. However, your internet connection will only max out at 1Gb. As said, ISP speed, switch and network card speeds do not have to match but they should be, at...

Lila Connect - VX Fibre 1gig - Stoke on Trent

For the install, they install a box on the outside of the property and then a SDD (https://lilaconnect.co.uk/faq?id=faq16) inside the property. The SDD inside needs power while the box outside does not need power. I believe a standard install is on the ground floor where there are power sockets...

How much has your council tax gone up this year?

4.99%. From £122 last year to £128 this year. Garden bin waste was free for as long as I remember but from April, it'll now cost £40 for the year to have the council empty it. This is an additional cost (if you want the bin collected) and not part of council tax increase.

Sim racers - what are you running?

Yes I have that now. I have the TrueBrake mod installed on my G29 pedals with the Leo Bodnar cable. The TrueBrake mod is not a proper load cell pedal but comes close to one. I noticed a big difference between stock and modded. However, if you have the funds available, a proper set of load cell...

Lila connect poor modem WiFi coverage alternative?

Have you looked into powerline adapters? They plug into your electric sockets and use the electric cables to send the signal. You'd plug one in downstairs next to router (some have plug passthrough so can plug router into it for power) and use ethernet cable from router to the plug. You'd then...

    Looking for faster reliable broadband.

Any company that uses openreach cables, BT, Sky EE, talk talk, plus net etc will give you roughly the same speed as you have now. If Virgin is available where you live, they use their own cables and will likely be the only other option.

Enabling DHCP reservation. Must I reset clients?

Set your DHCP range on the new router from something like 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.255. Restart the router so everything gets a new IP address in that range. Then use anything from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.99 as your static/reserved IP addresses. Restart the router once you have set them all...

Lila Connect - VX Fibre 1gig - Stoke on Trent

No but the price for the speed is great. BT/Plus net/sky etc are around £30 for 72Mb and there are no mid-contract price Consumer Price Index increases with Lila. I've been lucky and had this for 3 years now and even if it was £50, I wouldn't consider any other provider. I did pay the £650 up...

    NAS

Thanks, I'll take a look. I already have the data off of it through backups luckily, this was just something to do and see if I could. If I can't, I'll get rid of it as it's very old anyway.

    NAS

I have an old NAS, Netgear Ready NAS Duo (it's old), that stopped working a while back. No idea why, just won't power on anymore. I'm not interested in getting it working again, but I wanted to know if there was any device I could connect the HDD drives to that doesn't involve me having to buy...
