Needing to upgrade my system on a budget, only need it for gaming but is this upgrade worth it.

Thanks been looking at that cpu, just wasn't sure if its best to wait for next intel line up or just buy this, as ill been using this for a few years.

Well i sent it back to ocuk and then they sent it to gigabyte and nothing since, rather annoying as I thought it would be rather a fast turn around and not having a working PC for a few weeks now. I have emailed ocuk a few times but its all down to gigabyte, they probably lost it or something...

GPU was sent to gigabyte 17 days ago now, still hasn't been returned or emailed with any update since it was sent to them. I thought gigabyte where suppose to be quick, rather annoyed at how long it is taking.

Sent my RMA in yesterday and its has already been tested and received a email saying it has been sent back to manufacturer for repair/ replacement . very happy with how fast this has been dealt with and now have to wait for gigabyte to get back to me. But customer care have been very helpful...

i do quite abit of 3d modelling (3ds max) and seems to always max my ram and got a new cpu cooler (dark rock pro 2) so having to take the heat spreaders off my ram, so there is a chance i could break them. Also as well ill be upgrading my cpu and mb later this year

yeah i don't think i could see myself playing 3d, i still find it a bit of a gimmick and i feel it ruins picture quality when i watch movies so probably just going to buy it for 144hz and hope i can max my 7970 out and still not 100% sure but i will be ordering something today

yeah moving toward the Benq XL2411T, wont be using it for 3d just 144hz and only thing putting me off it is the colour quality as it seems it needs a lot of calibrating to get right

CPU and gpu are getting really hot inside my case lately don't think my CPU cooler which is a h50 and case fans are keeping up lately in my fractal r4. Also added a new gpu, a 7970 gigabyte windforce x3 which might be adding to temps. Anyone recommend a new CPU cooler which is silent as well...

probably for the best, i don't really like messing with volts on my card, only like tweaking the other settings.
