School locked down after reports of stabbing

There's all kinds of desperate weirdness going on as people tiptoe around the major issue and offer solutions to living with school shooters. It's like an attitude to dealing with hurricanes. Can't be helped, just fortify the place a bit more.

Fears Sadiq Khan will bring in pay-per-mile road taxes after spending £3m on project

Yeah well box of petards for whoever wants to wrestle that nettle. In absence of a specially taxable fuel it should be model and mileage based. Something fraud resistant has privacy issues. Something unconnected has fraud issues. The simplest thing it could be is an odometer that has to be...

Fears Sadiq Khan will bring in pay-per-mile road taxes after spending £3m on project

Unfair? It's an incentive scheme to end up with greener vehicles. Not a scheme to end up with less tax revenue.

Fears Sadiq Khan will bring in pay-per-mile road taxes after spending £3m on project

Lazy-ass streaming services and non-English language movies

Are you suggesting Amazon watched that film and made their own subtitles. Bundling what they were given and chucking it out the door sounds entirely plausible. Why are the content owners immune from suspicion.

    Matrix 5

It will be because they have a really quality plot and amazing fresh actors burning a hole in reality to make it to the screen. It surely wouldn't be another nostalgia shake down with suspect flashback footage and actor/role recycling to the point of imitating actors that weren't available.

Soham murderer Ian Huntley is suing the prison service after being attacked

If I was locked in a miserable hole for possibly life I'd be inclined to act up if that's what it takes to improve the conditions. It's not my problem if the state makes me their problem.

Soham murderer Ian Huntley is suing the prison service after being attacked

Jail for life is nothing to celebrate. The state pays out millions to keep a body locked up as a living warning and also a reminder that it's too incompetent to guarantee that the correct people are being deleted for specially naughty crimes.
