*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

I’ve lost 20lbs in 4 weeks, been doing a fasting diet, I only have 1 meal a day which is around 7pm. Don’t really feel hungry as I have a busy job, need to drink a lot more though, I would have probably 1 coffee all day till I got home. Feeling a lot better for it though, even when I have a...

    pci-e riser question

10-20% when using ultra wide res is a difference and worth it in my opinion

    pci-e riser question

Because a lot of people like my self wouldn’t spend £50 on something like that to make basically no difference :)

The Ampere RTX 3080 Ti Owners Thread

What sort of overclock are people getting here on the core boost and memory clock? with my 1800 @0.9v, I’m getting from 1920 to 1950 core clock and running at 9700mhz on the memory.

Undervolting GPU should be standard procedure

Just done some undervolting on my 3080ti, 0.875v and boosting to 1900+ not a crash yet :)

I’ve seen that free sync doesn’t work properly when using 10 bit panels?

The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

Psu won’t be a problem as I’m using the same watts psu. make sure you ain’t daisy changing the cables going into the card. If your using a 10 bit panel, change it to 8bit with free sync on. change your min and max clock speed, for example 2400max/2300min. Has to be at least 100mhz difference...

Standard voltage, not messed with it. Raised the power limit to 9% highest would go. The msi trio

The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

Been tinkering with my 6800xt, managed to get a nice overclock of 2600/2500 max and min, with 2070 fast timings. Hovering around 2480 and 2540 clock speed, is this any good? Seems fully stable so far

The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

I had issues at the start, similar. When in the over clock settings, try max as 2300 and minimum as 2200. If I left it auto it would stutter. You have to leave at least 100mhz from the max to the min

    Which GPU for 3440x1440?

I second this post. going ultra wide hinders performance over 1440p, a 3070 or 6700xt is going to cut it to your refresh rate

Are RX 6800 XT not wanted?

6800xt is a great performer. I upgraded from an rtx 3070 to a 6800xt due to going 34” ultra wide and the performance bump has been fantastic. don’t get me wrong, I only play escape from tarkov, a game that’s poorly optimised but I will take as much FPS as I can. looking at bench marks, the...

Is it worth upgrading my Ryzen 5 3600?

Would definitely be worth it considering your resolution. I upgraded my cpu from the 3900x to the 5800x and noticed a decent improvement :) regarding the op, probably not considering your only at 1080p, and getting 110fps+ already

Windows keeps installing 27.20.21030.10 amd driver

I’ve been having the same issue with my 6800xt, bit annoying. I’ve done a ddu recently since turning off windows update from updating drivers and it’s not happened since. if it does it again, I’m reinstalling windows, and turning off the drivers update for windows, and starting fresh

What PC games are you playing?

Escape from tarkov. Been playing it for 9 months straight, can’t get enough of it. The feeling you get when in a fire fight, killing a team, I’ve not felt that playing any other game.

The Radeon RX 6900/6950 XT Owners Thread.

Much point chopping in the 6800xt for a 6900xt? I game at res 3440 ultra wide, only play tarkov at the moment though

The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

Matt nailed it on the head. I have the msi version, 750w psu is fine, use 2 separate cables to the card, and I use 2350 min clock and 2450 max clock. Stock settings I was getting stutters and wired gpu usage on escape from tarkov I paid £1200 for mine, most expensive card I’ve ever bought, but...

    Is more than 16gb required?

Depends on the games you play. If you play mine craft then no, but if you play bf5 or war zone then yes. I had micro stuttering when bf5 came out as I was topping out my ram usage, another 16gb fixed that. Too many variables, res, what games etc, that’s why I said “gaming machine”.

    Is more than 16gb required?

I didn’t say it did. And I also said it’s recommended for best experience. Use your noggin, as you can see I’ve said some games use 15-20gb ram, does any retro games use that much? :eyesroll
