Would want to avoid such a horror story. Any car used would definitely be taken care of and looked after, with owner welcome to be around on-set to ensure its safety!
They wouldn't be on the car (bonnet for example), nor would it be driven. It would simply be a prop, perhaps if they were washing it or something similar.
Hey guys, I'm shooting a music video next tuesday in London area (with lots of models twerking all over the place haha) for a known group, and we're looking for a sexy car to feature (not to be driven). Was wondering if anyone would be interested in providing one and we can pay you a negotiable...
Can't say I've noticed anything in the bokeh but I only shoot video, so obviously it's less of an issue for me, and the VR is absolutely fantastic. Some say it's better than Canon's IS, which I don't know as I haven't tested side-by-side but it's certainly quieter.
It produces an extremely crisp image at all focal lengths, and is on par with the Canon mkII in most instances. It does tend to be slightly weaker at the 24mm focal length so if you shoot at 24mm often you may want to consider investing in a prime.
The rings are the opposite way around to Canon...
Thought I'd share the first completed video I've done with my new A7S. Loving the camera. Also shot a wedding with it recently where it performed exceptionally in every instance.

Why would one ignore budgets? The industry operates on budgets. Your possibilities, equipment and resources rely on budgets. If someone makes an excellent feature on a budget of £500 as opposed to £10,000 - that means something - and if you have worked on any productions with limited to very...
That's putting an extreme skew on what I said. It was unfortunate circumstances that removed the planning process but the video had to be shot on that day, and the result is still something we're happy with. And as a matter of fact, it was requested by the client that people were credited at the...
The ending isn't for everyone I guess, but whilst some people obviously aren't keen on it, others have said they think it's the best bit funnily enough!
@AnException, this video was shot last-minute without any planning. I'd planned and shotlisted an entirely different video altogether, but was...
Here's an example of full-frame vs micro-four-thirds sensor sizes which should help those confused: http://www.mu-43.com/showthread.php?t=25093
I too, agree that D.P. throws confusion at newcomers with his method of explanation, whilst simply saying a larger sensor will allow for shallower dof...
Hey guys, myself and crew have entered into the Film Convert Cinematography competition and voting is now open. There's 10 popular pick winner prizes and we would really appreciate your votes!
The video was shot for a t-shirt company operating out of South East London :)
(Flashing Images!!)...
make 2 video layers, put video 2 on the top layer, video 1 on the bottom
on the video 2 clip there should be a square crop icon on the far right hand side of it, click it
you'll be presented with a rectangle with a big 'F' inside it, this is your crop area
hold down control and drag one of...
With product photography you want to be able to highlight/focus on certain aspects/functions/features of a product whilst throwing the rest out of focus. This is easier to do at higher apertures on a full frame camera. I also would recommend to be weary of shooting at f16 for it as most lenses...
If you're doing product photography then that's even more reason to go full frame (6D) for better detail and shallower dof.
Lens wise, you should have a look at some macro lenses. I'd recommend for your budget (similar to the 1.4) to look at:
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Tamron AF SP 90mm...
600D to 70D, and 1.8 to 1.4 aren't worthwhile upgrades.
Have a look at the 6D. It's more (currently £1079 on digital rev), but worth saving for and you get full frame.
The 1.8 lens is a great lens and so you'd probably be better off buying a lens of a different focal length to support it.
