Looked at that, the output wasn't very good imo. I spent an hour so looking around and I don't think there is a good way of doing it. There is a photoshop plugin so you can tweak the picture a bit to match the HDR shot but that's the closest I can see. Seen plenty of people saying AVIF is better...
Only reason I'm running it is because FanXpert requires it, I use that to tweak the fans to silent when under load. I hate the asus software...
Boggles my mind how they sabotage their own hardware with this rubbish, not a fan of sonicsuite for their audio either. Managed to "disable" that at least.
First campfire after the lift, the little area down the ramp was crashing for me after few minutes. After messing with memory/graphics/cpu settings for ages I finally got to a solution. Disable the freakin RGB affects when playing games in Asus armory crate. OMG so annoying.
Yeah I watched that, its the video that made me make the comment "I can't believe I've been using DTM over HGIG", I think HGIG has it's advantages but just doesn't perform well enough in all scenarios. The brightness of dark areas using DTM isn't significant to me, it's not over the top. I think...
I've just been watching some videos on DTM, I can't believe I've been using it over HGIG. Desktop is darker so I've had to put windows SDR brightness to 100 which looks good. Went to a random site with white squares and background to see if I could tell the difference...
Yeah, I have HGIG off, I'm using dynamic tone mapping. I've manually set my screen peak brightness to 800 as that's what they measured for HDR at Rtings, also I'm no expert with HDR settings. I just go for the most detail/pleasing picture. It looks great to me but I'm forever tweaking things.
In game I'm only struggling with the shadows really, I can't determine how dark some areas should actually be. The highlight and shadow configuration only affects some parts of the picture in some areas. For example when you have a contrast with a bright sun in the sky and you are standing in an...
On my LG C2 42 I've gone with these settings for HDR, I've been switching shadow boost to +5 on occasion, I can't quite settle on what I should have it at...
This is with the TV set to gaming mode with dynamic tone mapping / 100% screen brightness (No HGIG) and windows HDR calibrated.
Hah was going to say that's what I have then you said it was a clone! I grabbed a ms pc elite pad off facebook for £60 barely used a while back. Some games are just better with gamepad but HFW is an odd duck in the sense that aiming is better on kb/m.
Think I'll switch between the two if I...
I would play the first as its quite cheap now.
Man setting up the game took a bit of time. Still not sure about the HDR settings but it seems okay. I turned off all the DLSS as it produced minor stutter when rotating the camera at high speed, running with just DLAA.
Can't decide if I should...
Yeah I did in general, dragged a bit when doing the DLC. I was just wondering if all the bugs etc were fixed too
Edit: got 50hours out of the original, if it's as good this is prob worth it if similar game time
