Time for fuel cell / hydrogen car?

Energy consumption in the oil and gas sector is absolutely massive and continues to grow, and the end products are pretty cheap considering the refining process too. We should probably stray back to the hydrogen topic though... :)

Time for fuel cell / hydrogen car?

I meant to say other alternatives sorry. You're right with synthetics being way overpriced right now, but once they're in volume it *should* become comparable. Batteries aren't the future until the next generation of technology arrives. They can always have their place but if we got carbon...

Time for fuel cell / hydrogen car?

If those two sectors (with trucks) ran on 100% synthetic fuel we would drop EVs and probably not bother with alternatives elsewhere for a good few decades. It's annoying that the alternative sources were being explored in depth (including my own PhD) until very recently and then quite...

    WEC 2024

Looks epic. Has shown some great promise, particularly in poorer conditions. Although we see minimal running in such conditions and even less now we're getting more and more races in the middle of deserts.

Time for fuel cell / hydrogen car?

Synthetic fuel is a thing... Even if we don't change across to hydrogen (which we can and should do for household gas and vehicles) we can still have ICE powered cars, rather than fuel cell or battery.

*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

People won't shut up at work about BG3, but I saw so many saying that the game design was lifted straight out of this by the developer, with an epic bit of story telling and immersion. So I've picked this up with being a fifth of the price and I'm enjoying the first few hours!

We've agreed on the butter front but on the mayo there are definite places where it is the sauce of choice!

I think the whole lineup of G lenses are meant to be very good, so it's a good choice! :)

    cotswoldcameras

The FE G master lens you mention is for full frame cameras. Of course you can still mount it on a crop sensor camera, but you're going to be overpaying unless you're thinking of moving to FF down the line. I've seen them about but never purchased from them, check online reviews and trust pilot. :)

One can dream. Unless he's buying his way with a backmarker, I doubt he'll even be considered by any of them.

I wish it was bigger than it is. Some properly talented drivers doing mad stuff is always worth a watch! :D

Fair fair! Yeah it's a real shock compared to the rest of motorsport and once you get beyond the "most famous quote in racing" "Home of racing" "Worlds biggest gift shop" level of ****, you can occasionally watch something that's good. This years race at Atlanta was one of the more action packed...

    Photography Show Birmingham

I for one go through the photos that I take and the ones I like and keep, I'll edit to be as close to the real thing as possible. Overblown "HDR" and massive contrasts or just changing the image entirely (why include stuff from years previous?!) surely defeats the whole purpose of photography...

    Motorsport Off Topic Thread

That was the joke. But the race consisted of a precession of cars (think F1 but actually close) where tyre deg led to it being a mixed up race with accidents/mistakes galore and a ridiculous amount of lead changes. Simpler race series leads to close racing it seems. A foreign concept in the...

If anyone is bored of going around in circles about Horner, the NASCAR is at Bristol and they're managing to out tyre deg F1 cars on softs. Causing a reasonable amount of chaos.

    WEC 2024

Certainly was! Can't believe the 7 is up at the front. Helped by the oil leak on the 10 and the 31 finding both a Ferrari and the barrier I guess! Been a hell of a race. Bring on these two hours.

    WEC 2024

Sebring does look very tired. Was thinking that the Cadillac rides the bumps very well but even through turn 1 it appears to be shaking itself to death. Whilst they're aiming to grow and build upon the new interest, they need to make sure the circuits are up to scratch. Porsche have seemed to...

    WEC 2024

So after seeing Porsche with an outright win in both IMSA/WEC opening races, I wonder what BoP changes FIA will randomly make for the next race... Currently looks like it might not be a Porsche landslide for Sebring but can always craftily sandbag until the day. In other news, rather surprised...

    The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

Cheers both! Got plenty of time to work it out and shall check out the mirrorless mover range. Will be holding the A7R2, 25mm and 55mm with my little box that holds the batteries and cards, then a pouch with filters, plus whatever else we take in tech!
