Ive just bought the OCZ Vertex 60GB (OCUK special) from a 7200 samsung 500GB HDD. Windows7 load & shutdown times are down to about 20-25 & 5 secs respectively (which is a bit anal!), but the real improvement is in general PC use. It's the timy seek times that make the difference I think. IE...

I had a few slowdown issues with my 8800GT at full detail on 1680x1050 (i.e. when I stupidly pick fireball in a big melee & my party in the middle of it!). Not a flicker on 5850 tho (as expected) and the effects are subtly prettier! Dan ps- I LOVE this game! ;)

btw - sorry for typo in title!!! Thanks for reply. I noticed that the 60gb vertex deal on ocuk is 32mb cache. The ones on other retailers are 64mb cache. Anyone know if the deal ones cheaper because they are the older discontinued models?
