    Solid State Drives

I upgraded to an X25-V and I've got to say it's most definately a great upgrade, but since I really only surf the net and watch a few movies using my PC I'm not benefitting from it much. Although bootup and shutdown times are quicker this never really bothered me in the past anyways.

    H50 supplied compound

Apparently the thermal compound supplied with the H50 is made by Shin-Etsu so it should be fairly decent.

    XFX 5850 Displayport issue

OK I think I've figured the problem now, I went to the control panel -> advanced power settings -> PCI Express - > Link State Power Management and turned it off. This seems to have sorted out my fuzzy screen when the monitor comes standby.

    Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

Initially I had mine setup in push/pull to intake air into the radiator and case with the top fans exhausting, my i860 @ 3.8 load temps were about 75 degs. Over the weekend I changed the setup so that the top fans intake air with the H50 exhausting air and the temps were pretty much the same...

    XFX 5850 Displayport issue

Just to add to my orginal comments, I've discovered that the issue happens when the monitor connected to the displayport turns on from standby. If I have the monitor in non-power saving mode, i.e. on all the time, the issue does not occur. Nor does it occur if I turn on the monitor from cold...

    Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

I've got my H50 cooling my i7 860 (stock speed) and it idles at about 28 degs, on full load it's about 50 degs. Whereas on the stock cooler it use to idle about 25 degs whilst full load was 75 degs. So it seems the H50 isn't great when it's idle but much better when there is load.
