Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 fan headers - control speed?

AFAIK 2 are 4 pin PWM the CPU and one other, and the rest are standard 3 pin fixed jobbies.

Gigabyte GA EX58-UD5 Northbridge Cooling Options

Before anyone says it, i know this is a watercooling case really, that was my initial plan. However, i've been forced into an early upgrade as my last pc died, and i dont really have the cash for a full w/c setup just yet. Trying to make do for a month or two on air before i go w/c cpu / chipset...

Gigabyte GA EX58-UD5 Northbridge Cooling Options

Im running a Coolermaster Cosmos S. 3 exhaust fans in the top, one exhaust out the bank, one front intake, one bottom intake. Have had to take the side fan off as the noctua cpu cooler doesnt fit with it on.. Noctua is orientated to exhaust out of the back of the case. Noticed last night that...

    Overclocking the i7 920

I have been using Prime95 to load the CPU, checking temps with both RealTemp and CoreTemp. Ambient in the room is pretty hot which isnt helping, but i suspect with a bit of tweaking and moving cards about in the system i'll be able to bring it down a bit. Im guessing the Cosmos S side fan...

    Overclocking the i7 920

1: Well vcore was 2.2+ volts, but its perfectly stable at 1.28xxx. Going to lower it a bit anyway and see what happens. I gather its set high as default to ensure stability for most people given different psu etc. 2: Just thought id double check on temps because reading various posts etc, some...
