Main reasons I've seen so far are better ST performance and more ram. If this doesn't apply to you, keep your M1 Max for a few more years. I have M1 Max at home and M3 Max at work, wouldn't upgrade my home machine anytime soon. Maybe M5 or M6 generation.

This might have been beneficial in some limited cases, on older games/hardware. Not the case with modern OS/game/hardware.

Yeah, new perf cores about 35% faster, and there will be 50% more of them in M3 Max, so 3 times as much in the Ultra. Big ST and MT performance boost. I'll stick to my M1 Max though, maybe I'll upgrade in the M5 generation.

I've used this screen and OLED screens, there's no comparison for HDR contents or black levels. This is an edge-lit LCD so you should not at all expect even Mini-LED type black levels, let alone anything from an OLED. You should only buy this for pixel density and text/image sharpness/clarify...

MacOS doesn't support DisplayPort MST either, so Apple is not making this easy. I'm guessing you can probably make 3 displays work if you connect a displaylink hub to the KVM switch.

I'd rather they increase all thresholds inline with inflation (and recalculate them from when they froze them) than significantly raise taxes and then cancel a tiny bit of it and call it a "tax cut", nobody is getting a tax cut as long as the thresholds are frozen. A 1% cut to the basic NI rate...

Not much has changed. The two usual suspects (VMware Fusion and Parallels) are there, there are some open source ones too (UTM) but they're not as refined as the two commercial options.
