yes the bios is seeing the drive, but the xp install disk cannot...

it's a p7p55d motherboard, with an i5 processor, 4gb ram, Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB HDD tried this mate, but with no luck :( it says no drives found even when the drive is plugged in

theres only the 1 harddrive mate, im trying to install XP.

well it wont let me get this far! im gonna try this now cheers.

right so when i turn it on it says "no drives found" and then just goes to a blinking cursor. im trying to load windows on it but it doesnt recognise the drives even though they are in the bios settings.... also, if i unplug the HDD it still says no drives found, but it will boot the windows...

someone else said this to me, tbh its more for music editing etc than games, cus i've got an xbox360 for that, but i'll probably be playing call of duty and command and conquer on the computer cus i hate doing it with the comtroller lol.

yo yo, im new on here and im a complete amature when it comes to computers (you'd normally find me on a car forum lol) so im completely out of my depth with this. Basically, my laptop is begging to die and i decided to build a computer, my budget is only £550-600 and i need a computer for work...
