Again to save your sanity from other comments, you prev. card worked fine, so your system is up to the job if it is not faulty also.
The GT240 was most probably a DRIVER issue but also could be an unlikely fault with another component.
So YES a 5750 is the correct choice...
Could have done...
Bickering is a fact of life, It's human nature, Get over it!
Seems some people think you can only share each others opinions these days!
And before anyone says it's only GFX cards SO WHAT! what's important to you may be insignificant to others, and if it's that unimportant to you please...
I work very closely with Jen-Hsun Huang but I respect his NDA but if what he tells me is true... We are all going to be AMAZED come 26/7th!
Hope this stops the bickering...

The Nvidia released Heaven benchmarks kinda validate Fermi's ballpark performance of the leaked benchmarks and what Charlie says his 'sources' are reporting.
Obviously they are not going to be 100% accurate as Nvidia were still deciding specs at that stage, but it gives a good indication...
Only the 480 has the tessellation advantage, so I don't think any game dev will make a game for 50 GTX480's
Not sure how you work that one out, when Fermi seems to suck at current DX11 games considering it's die size...
Sorry mate, but we'r not living in a fairy tale... :p
They are trying to kill AMD's sales with cheap tricks and future promises of stock... That's all they have to fight with as the number of cards available won't even be a drop in the ocean.
