OK i updated the ATI Drivers and its much better.
Yes its a brand new install. Complete new build.
I will run some hardware tests just to make sure but it seems ok, Ive been on W7 for a while now so I can't remember how smooth XP should be. I have a feeling im going to have to start over...
I have just built a new rig for my mum, and installed her old version of XP - run all the updates etc.
Problem is im getting serious lag when dragging windows around. The same thing that happens on soggy old machines that are almost out of memory.
Apart from this it is lightening quick...

The bit thats thrown me is the Command Rate 2T. Will it still perform better at 800mhz even though this has to increase?
In theory it should be the same amount of time you would spend unable to get credit after being declared bankrupt, 6 years - with the end result the same - an empty credit file.
Most lenders have very poor trace systems. They will almost exclusively use your credit file. If you do not register on the electoral register, do not take out any credit and have relatives & previously linked persons (such as ex-wife) that keep quiet you should have no problem 'laying low'.
The problem with debt is that the general public are uneducated and are unaware as to how to deal with it.

A lot has been posted since my original question about the fact that compensation is being paid. This does NOT only apply to council tenants. The house next door to mine was bought a number of years ago and subsequently let out privately. The landlord of the property, being forced to sell, will...
In leeds I believe anyone can join the housing register, but you are given a 'general needs' status meaning you will wait a very long time for a house in the more desired areas as anyone else 'bidding' on the property with a higher priority banding will always get it first.
If you came around to my house and saw the state that firstly the property itself is in (I have done my best to patch it up), the state the streets are in with litter etc, and my local neighbours, you would think that £245p/m is too much, believe me.
At which point in my original post did I say I am unemployed and claiming benefits? I live in a council house, but both myself and my partner work full time. Although to be honest whilst I almost took offence at your comments I then think about some of my neighbours and it does not seem fair...
My council property is being knocked down (thank god) and we obviously have to move out fairly soon. We have been given access to the housing register with a priority stamp and will receive £4600 by way of 'compensation' to decorate a new home, put towards deposit on a mortgage, or whatever we...
You may as well sell your current pc with the CPU and ram in it. Or sell it all separately. Either way you won't notice any real difference in performance unless you upgrade these as well.
