I've got the same issue with my SB750 chipset, and have to use the Win7 AHCI drivers. :( @kmufc77: can you list the drivers is use by (a) the SSD and (b) the SATA disk controller?

Pretty sure the 5740G uses an Intel chipset as OP stated he's installed latest Intel drivers. Besides, it looks as if the Toolbox only takes the hump when the Optimiser is run.

Is the SSD highlighted blue in the Intel SSD Toolbox main screen? Does it display "RAID not supported" here or only when you run the Optimiser?

For Lightroom it certainly is. Installed on the SSD, and with its catalogue db also located there, everything happens instantly. I'd suggest doubling the RAM to 8GB too; processing large RAWs can be memory-intensive.

HDD configured as RAID mode in BIOS? It's quite possible to have a single drive run in RAID mode - pointless but still possible. Any mention of RAID during POST?

What SATA controller chipset is on your motherboard? If it's an Intel you want to be using their own drivers.

If you did a clean installation of Windows 7 onto the SSD then it will have partitioned the drive with the correct offset automatically.
