Over £1600 for a CPU, isn't exactly your consumer friendly price when you look at it though....I'm sure even dualcore chips didn't cost that much. I7 920 chips retailed for a around £200 back in 2009.

My overclock is buying a new graphics card after 9 years. This way, I get maximum performance I can see and make use of, for the minimum of outlay. :-D

Why are you overclocking ? Your CPU is more than enough to handle modern games, as is your current GPU as well at stock settings.
