    EVOL - A Tron Inspired Sci-Fi Promo Film - 2019 -

Thanks, yeah... it's been a big technical challenge (more than any other to put together all by myself) and I've learned so much during the process from the software I used to the actual film creation process itself, and the limitations I have hardware wise. I've created movies in the past but...

    EVOL - A Tron Inspired Sci-Fi Promo Film - 2019 -

Seeing as there is a thread here with a high post / view count, I just wanted to highlight that this video has a range of different Trance music, composed by myself.

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Still using a Gigabyte UD5 mobo, with a Core I7 920, and yeah I know that you can buy 6 core CPU's cheaply, but I've never bought anything second hand for my PC's over the years nor anything off ebay for that matter. A few months back a bought a Radeon RX 570 8 Gig card for it, which has brought...

Where Are Those 26 Core CPU's?

It was a calculation of years. As for your question, yes Intel 14 Core Xeon Gold 5120 Server/Workstation CPU/Processor Intel Xeon E5-2697V2 CPU (2.7GHz, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 30MB Cache, LGA AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X Processor - (16 Core/32 Threads) I found a 26 Core CPU  An...

Where Are Those 26 Core CPU's?

Over £1600 for a CPU, isn't exactly your consumer friendly price when you look at it though....I'm sure even dualcore chips didn't cost that much. I7 920 chips retailed for a around £200 back in 2009.

Where Are Those 26 Core CPU's?

It would make my 3D animation jobs a lot faster...that's for sure...Still on a 4 Core 8 thread system here. I'm dreading the render time of the 3D city fly over I'm doing.

Where Are Those 26 Core CPU's?

Dualcore CPU's first came out in around 2006 but it's been some 13 years now since then, so doing some simple math, we arrive at 26 cores :-D and if that was the case, we would have 52 when you add on the virtual cores... So what's happened...?

Freeing VRam On AMD GraphicCards Possible ?

Well, one learns something new every day, cause although I've probably scanned across at some point, I've not known what it refered to. Did a bit of reading online and it seems to use system memory, which for my use case, isn't ideal I don't think. 16 gigs of ram on Windows and 18 on Linux...

Freeing VRam On AMD GraphicCards Possible ?

As some of you might know, I picked up a Sapphire RX 570 8 Gig version. I'm currently working in Cinema 4D creating a mega cityscape scene for an animation project, but I'm finding that when I quit Cinema 4D that the modeled objects I've created are not showing up as they should after, nothing...

Have Graphics Card Reached The Technological Brickwall ?

I've been using computers since 1981, and funnily enough my first was a ZX81, and a 16K ram expansion, that ominous brick of extra power you wondered why you needed. In just a few years, this tech will be 40 years old, yet that time in my memory in using one, is as still fresh as it was a few...

Why overclock a graphics card these days?

My overclock is buying a new graphics card after 9 years. This way, I get maximum performance I can see and make use of, for the minimum of outlay. :-D

    Whats up with my gpu

Why are you overclocking ? Your CPU is more than enough to handle modern games, as is your current GPU as well at stock settings.

AMD Radeon Sapphire RX570 8 GIG - Music Video

Thanks, yeah... I'm the composer of the music..it isn't some free library stuff you can find, I am THE INTRANCER :-), it's a more recent piece of a longer track. I've been creating music since the early 1990's on the Amiga 500 / 1200.

RIP Gigabyte 7950! Seeking advice for a replacement

I'm still running an I7 920 PC based system, and bought an AMD Radeon Sapphire Pulse RX 570 8 Gig card for £160... and that qualified for two free games. For 1080P and even that of 1440P resolution in games, it's been excellent in 1080P, maximum settings in games with good frame rates. It...

DirectX 12 comes to Windows 7, nine months from retirement...

Still using Windows 7 64 here, I mean Windows 10 is really glorified spyware. I tried it out back in 2016 a for months before it became payware and it was incredibly ugly and intrusive. It was like it had a mind of it's own... I've only ever installed Windows 7 on my 9 year old machine once...

    Another dead 2080ti

It actually reminds me of Jean Michel Jarre cover artwork for Equinox, a few years before the Sinclair ZX81 came out. Incidentally the ZX81 was the first ever computer I touched as a kid of which I would have been around 4 years of age back in 1981. I recently brought my ZX81 as well as my Atari...

    OcUK GTX1660TI review thread

You can save £100 and you can get 8 Gigs of DDD5 Ram rather than 6 Gigs that Nvidia are only providing, despite the performance difference, with an AMD Radeon Sapphire RX570 8 Gig.

AMD Radeon Sapphire RX570 8 GIG - Music Video

Thanks.. yeah, I might be ;-D, it's the biggest leap in performance.. I've ever seen since my last AGP card, the 'Gainward Bliss 7800GS Silent 512MB'. I was still impressed with my old Palit card, and how well it managed to cope in games like Battlefield 3 and to a lesser extent BF4 which I've...

AMD Radeon Sapphire RX570 8 GIG - Music Video

Well being a musical type of dude and to really give myself a refresher on the techniques I can teach myself with a range of software.. and get them to do what I want without having a fit, I decided to make a little music video. It's a little different from the usual ones you might see...
