I've tested my 206bw on my laptop by connecting them with VGA/VGA. Same problem so i guess it's a monitor problem indeed. After reading the topic again, the Dell U2412M is clearly a winner :)

No i havent. The only thing im able to test is another slot, don't have another monitor/tv to test :(

The problem is more that when i turn the monitor on, i got a signal for like 1 sec, then the monitors switches to some sort of standby mode (flickering on/off button) for 2/3 seconds and then i get signal for like 1 sec again... this happens 30-40 or maybe 50 times before i got a proper signal...

Thank you. I think the Dell 2412M is a good choice for me, although are you 100% sure it's my 206BW that is gettting old or could it be a GPU problem?

But then again, i've had this 206BW monitor for like 5 years now and always played games such as Counterstrike Source, Battlefield 2-3 and other FPS games and never had the idea it wasnt good enough. Is the Dell monitor significantly better than the 206 or is it hard to compare those 2?

After reading some reviews about this Dell U2412M i'm pretty sure it's a decent monitor, although i have one more question. Is it really worth considering a 120hz monitor at this point and when you look at me, a person that will use it 60% for school / 40% Games, Movies etc.?
