My 3090 with a +100 Core offset dropped from 2100 MHz to 2000 after installing that driver. Stuck the offset up to +200, back at 2100... @OP, honestly, this is nothing new. You can look up reviews of old GPUs struggling to maintain 60 FPS at launch on titles released months or even years prior...

The mod's a lot more performant than the internet would have you believe. Surprised at DF claiming to need 1080p to achieve 60. It runs at 40-50fps on my system at 4K, and that's with all of the Raytracing/GI settings maxed out. Dropping the render scale to 0.7 increases this to 60-70.

As am I - pre-ordered on 24th August. Maxed the power limit in Afterburner and the card sits quite happily at 2010MHz without any modifications to the boost. At +110 core, the core seems unstable, and at +120, the driver crashes. At +100, the clock jumps between 2085 and 2070, but the card...

Just installed... time to OC the nuts off of it.

Following that logic they should have released the 980 and 980Ti simultaneously, as the 980 was about +/-5% the 780Ti at launch.

~£1500, but for full-fat GPU (or near enough), not the flagship. This Titan XP cost me £1200 (including hybrid mod) in August 2016 and it's proved a good purchase over time IMO. If the next full/near full variant of [whatever architecture name] is ~£1500, I'm in.

Install the new drivers, select "Custom" and tick "Clean Install". The official driver install package will then completely remove all Nvidia drivers automatically before installing new ones.
